Perform start and end of shift checks on forklift and Reach truck machines and report results to line manager.
Operate the reach truck and forklift as and when required.
Perform Put Away and Let Downs of stock onto shelves and or pallets.
Safely stack, wrap, and package stock on wooden pallets in preparation for dispatch.
Off load received stock and place palletised stock in the correct bin location.
Update WMS as when moving stock via allocated scanner.
Move stock from storage areas to loading areas for dispatch.
Move stock to allocated areas in the bulk warehouse.
Ensure pallets are stacked and transported according to stacking standards.
Ensure that isles are free from spills or obstructions and escalate where necessary.
Ensure compliance to all health and safety requirements and machinery operating procedures for all equipment (Reach Truck, Forklift, Palette Jack).
Ensure that damages are kept to a minimum.
Report all damaged stock or hazards to the relevant line manager.
Attend and participate in team meetings.
Work together with other team members to ensure that team goals are achieved.
Comply with Health and Safety requirements.
Adhere to warehouse standard operating procedures (SOP’s) e.g. FIFO.
Adhere to housekeeping standards e.g., ensure all areas are free from wrapping, waste, and damaged stock.
Ensure work area is neat and tidy before leaving at the end of each shift.
Handle all stock in accordance with stock handling signage, e.g. this way up, handle with care.
Record and report all damaged or missing stock to line manager.
Perform other general warehouse duties across various warehouse functions as and when required in support of operational efficiencies and requirements.
Requirements
Grade 12 or equivalent qualification is required
A valid Forklift License and Reach Truck license
A minimum of 2 Years experience as a Forklift and Reach Truck Driver in a Warehouse environment
Ability to work overtime including shifts and weekends when required
