Website Manager (WordPress) at Boldr

As a Website Manager, your job will consist of owning the Website and our Intranet. Running audits, leading the redesign process, creating new pages, writing code, and solving bugs are a few of the tasks you’ll be performing. Code language and website design knowledge are a must.

What Will You Do

• Develop, maintain, and update website and intranet content
• Own website navigation experience (sitemap, UX, etc)
• Write code, solve bugs, and keep track of all website information
• Evaluate and manage website performance (run recurring audits of the website and provide performance-based solutions) on website speed, traffic, and conversion using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Hotjar, etc..
• Facilitate hosting and server management
• Follow Marketing instructions to keep site aligned with branding and communication.

YOU ARE…

• Educated to degree level and or equivalent in Computer Engineering
• A web developer with 2-3 years of experience in WordPress (knowledge of any other management system, Google Sites, and/or Google Currents would be advantageous, but not required)
• Able to bring creative and effective solutions to technical problems
• Comfortable with coding tools
• Knowledge of GSuites specifically Google Sites, Google Currents and Google Chat.
• Able to communicate clearly in both synchronous and asynchronous channels

Requirements

YOU HAVE…

• At least 3 years of experience creating and supporting web pages for businesses
• At least 2 years of experience working on WordPress
• Expert knowledge of content management systems
• Highly proficient in HTML/CSS/JS and PHP codes
• Nice to have other coding languages like JavaScript, Python, etc.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical, problem-solving mindset
• Website building and complex web applications experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• UX/UI design knowledge
• Demonstrated ability to work in a diverse and equitable environment
• A desire to make meaningful contributions to knowledge equity, free culture, and open access

Additionally, We’d Love It If You Have…

• Experience with SEO tools, Elementor, and other website development tools
• Knowledge of any other website management system besides Wordpress
