To effectively manage all aspects in the yard to meet operational goals and efficiently and effectively plan and implement loading and transportation of deliveries to customer’s construction sites taking full responsibility for the Branch's transport fleet.
To cost-effectively managed all Inland IBT’s slots and booking thereof, LF bookings and to ensure material availability for the Inland region for loading.
Ensure cross hire is returned and dealt with timeously.
Site stripping for the Inland region, Eastern cape coastal and Durban.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure Customers are dealt with professionally & efficiently in the yard regarding collection, queries, etc.
To ensure correct deliveries and site collections of products to and from Customer sites timeously by efficient management of Company fleet, and fast efficient turnaround times of Customer trucks in yard.
To manage Drivers' schedules and individual performance and ensure that Drivers licenses etc are valid.
To optimally manage staff including temp employees i.t.o. deliverables, in line with relevant labour laws.
To deal professionally with Sales Team to assist with their queries.
To utilize stock optimally and ensure minimal stock losses through efficient stock control management.
To plan deliveries and collections optimally and timeously by communicating effectively with Sales Team and Customers.
To ensure correct documentation and identification of product and quantities - external transport, cross hires, etc.
To contribute to efficient management of operating expenses & to manage all site assets, minimize risk and ensure good housekeeping.
To implement work schedules and operational plans as per goals set by Operations Manager to achieve the Branch strategy.
To implement and monitor quality assurance.
To ensure that operating systems are properly utilized and well maintained.
To ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations and manage risk.
Effectively manage the Company's Transport Fleet and distribution logistics
Effectively and cost-conscious stripping of sites as instructed.
What you'll need to be successful:
