Key Responsibilities 

Operations

• Manage Master Equipment Management System and Reports
• Planning of work schedules of all yard staff
• Yard tracking reports

  • Trailers available for loading

    • Trailers loaded awaiting dispatch
    • North and South bound vehicle in the yard

• Issuing and fitment of all vehicle equipment

  • Tarpaulins
  • Chains and binders
  • Load straps
  • Spare wheels
  • Uprights
  • Hazchem placards
  • Fire extinguishers
• Positioning of trailers for loading
• Manage all lifting equipment for loading and offloading containers and general cargo
• Inspection of all loads to ensure security of all cargo loaded awaiting dispatch
• Overtime allocation and weekly overtime reports
• Yard cleaning and adherence to SHEQ requirements for all yard staff

Knowledge & Experience

• Grade 12
• Loadmaster Certification
• Stores Management
• Valid driver’s licence
