    Regional Sales Manager - South

    Job Description

    • The Regional Sales Manager (South) is responsible for managing the sales teams for effective coverage and optimized sales execution in the Public and Private markets for Ostomy Care, In the Western Cape, and the Eastern Cape. 
    • The Regional Sales Manager (South) will be responsible for recruiting, coaching, developing, and managing a Coloplast regional sales team.
    • The responsibilities will extend to support our Distributor Partner – OC sales teams, to attain sales targets by communicating sales plans / strategies and priorities.
    • The Regional Sales Manager (South) is responsible for identifying and building relationships with key customers and Coloplast partners.
    • This manager is responsible for leading the business, the sales teams, the individuals, Coastal KAM and the customer in the Region.
    • The Regional Sales Manager (South) will report to the Country Manager.

    Your key responsibilities will be 

    Leading the Business

    • Owns sales results for Coloplast OC Sales Developers and Territory Managers employed for OC in the Public and Private Sectors of the region.
    • Build and maintain excellent partnership relationships with the Distributor and work in collaboration with Coloplast KAM to ensure Coloplast business goals are met
    • Understands key business drivers and guides priorities for the Team’s in the short-, medium-, and long-term
    • Provides input to split of overall sales target for the region and directs each OC Sales Developer accordingly.
    • Manages shaping and pull through of contracts.
    • Explores and nurtures opportunities for developing new business throughout the region.
    • Acts as a liaison between the sales force and other functions in the organization including the Commercial Development Team, Marketing, Nursing Team, Consumer Care, Key Account Manager, Country Manager, Distributor Partner and Business Support.
    • Has a top line / Turnover and cost / expenses sales responsibility for the region.
    • Aligns resources according to strategic objectives of the sales region.
    • Assists with stock forecasting and appropriate and responsible stock levels in accordance with tenders and contracts for the region
    • Responsible for Key Account Management 

    Leading the Sales Team

    • Recruits and inducts new team members and sources of talent pipeline
    • Translates company business plans into clear and specific actions for the individuals in the Teams.
    • Builds, leads, coaches, and motivates high-performing teams.
    • Responsible for the implementation and effective execution of Coloplast standard sales processes for the OC Sales Developers, including S&T, ASAP, ShowPad, and CRM.
    • Is consistently visible to OC Sales Developers, Distributed team and customers in the field.

    Leading the Individual

    • Responsible for people growth for Coloplast OC Sales Developers and Key Account Manager.
    • Manages each individual OC Sales Developer for performance and results whilst ensuring individuals are empowered in an inclusive environment.
    • Is consistently visible to OC Sales Developers, Distributor teams and customers in the field.
    • Coaches and develops OC Sales Developers, Key Account Manager, to maximize effectiveness and provides open and honest feedback to correct performance.

    Leading and driving the Customer

    • Assists with managing major key accounts in the region
    • Maintains a good awareness of competitor activity within the industry and accounts, anticipating issues and opportunities, responding in a timely manner.
    • Develop and maintain personal relationships with key customers to augment selling effort and negotiates contracts with customers at highest level as needed.
    • Ensures strong execution of tender and contract processes.
    • Ensures Coloplast OC products are top of mind with customers due to product quality, value added services and excellent customer procurement processes.

    Professional qualifications

    • We are looking for an experienced, commercially minded account manager with a proven track record of implementing local projects and export experience with high impact.
    • Hybrid-role (Cape Town based) with ~70% infield.
    • Graduate or post-graduate degree in Nursing, Medicine, Business, Project Management, or similar
    • 10 years Ostomy Care, Wound Care and / or Continence Care experience
    • 10 years Regional Sales Management experience  
    • Documented experience in building and leading high-performing Teams to success (ideally +5 years)
    • Successful track record in delivering sales targets
    • Experienced sales coach
    • Strong documented business acumen combined with interpreting analytical insight for action
    • Previous medical sales experience with proven success
    • Excellent numerical skills with an analytical approach to Marketing and the ability to construct fact-based recommendations and business cases
    • Proficient computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and CRM systems
    • Strong communication and presentation skills in addition to the ability to engage with different cultures in the South region 
    • Strong clinical and medical product knowledge

    Business Analyst/Commercial Finance Analyst

    Description

    • The Business Analyst is responsible for providing data and analysis as well as to assist the Commercial Development Manager in projects with an aim to improve the commercial performance of Coloplast South Africa (SA) and Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).
    • The Business Analyst will act as a support to the different business segments executing commercial processes, projects and initiatives to maximize business impact in South Africa (SA) and Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA).
    • Main responsibilities are top line business performance analysis and insights generation in our commercial processes with report development, ad-hoc analytics and special projects being central to the role.
    • You will be report to the Commercial Development Manager.

    Your key responsibilities will be

    • Frequently follows, analyses, and effectively communicates commercial performance against a set target with a strong focus on accuracy.
    • Identify business trends by utilizing data and draw insights that can be used to strengthen the strategy and processes.
    • Manage data sources, both internal and external, and ensure data integrity to allow insight reporting to facilitate managerial decision making.
    • Assist Com-Ex Manager in all critical business planning and reporting, including developing business intelligence reporting.
    • Coordinate with sales team for ad hoc market information (S&T, Competition, territory sizing, etc).
    • Participates in key strategic projects to improve our commercial performance such as Pricing excellence, Business cases, tools and software, tenders.
    • Own and manage daily CRM (salesforce.com) related activities
    • Collaborates with all other business stakeholders to analyse overall performance

    Professional qualifications

    • CA(SA)/CIMA or other relevant Finance Degree
    • 0-2 years Post Articles experience
    • 1-2 years business partnering or management consulting experience advantageous
    • Previous Pharma or Medtech industry experience advantageous.
    • Excellent numerical skills with an analytical approach to Marketing and the ability to construct fact-based recommendations and business cases
    • Strong business acumen and commercial understanding
    • Strong collaboration skills across functions and cultures
    • Fluent in English (written and spoken) – ideally combined with one more language
    • Highly effective communication and presentation skills in addition to the ability to engage with different cultures in the SA & SSA region
    • Proficient computer skills ( a must) including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Power Bi, Tabular Data Modelling, SQL and Python advantageous.
