    Junior Fashion Graphic Designer Mr Price Sport

    Job Description

    • Ready, set, design! We're looking for a Junior Fashion Graphic Designer to join our Trend & Design team and help us drive the latest sports fashion trends at Mr Price Sport. As a key player in our design process, you'll conceptualize and create captivating artwork designs for our sports apparel, footwear, and equipment ranges.

    Responsibilities

    Developing Ranges                   

    • Under the supervision and guidance of the Buyer, conceptualise, plan and develop new styles and/or upgrade existing styles according to the approved seasonal strategy, based on trends and customer demand in order to provide our customers with the wanted product. 
    • With guidance, compile supplier tech packs containing detailed information on the relevant product so that the supplier can provide costings and execute.
    • Assist in print and colour approvals.
    • Assist in the preparation of marketing briefs, merch mags (VM), inspiration and boards.
    • Under supervision, update packaging, labelling and branding in accordance to seasonal strategies.
    • With guidance, build design libraries and templates to assist through range builds. " 

    Current Trade Analysis                          

    • With guidance, monitor current trade and analyse performance of product in order to identify design opportunities in upcoming seasons (brothers and sisters).
    • Along with team, conduct store visits in order to ensure that product and in store execution is as per briefs.               

    Trend Research & Product Development                    

    • With guidance, conduct competitor shops using local retailers as well as online resource to stay abreast of current trends in fashion and to present to buyer/s with findings on print colour, fabrications, category calls and newness in order to apply learnings to designs.

    Qualifications

    Education       

    • Degree or Diploma in Fashion Design, Clothing Technology, Graphic Design    

    Experience                    

    • 1 - 2 years.  Clothing design would be an advantage.

    • Mr Price - Cape Gate, Cape Town:- Support store management in the daily operations of a store to ensure that the overall objectives, store targets, and customer service standards are met & exceeded. 

    Responsibilities
    Sales & Customer Experience Management:

    • Drive sales through the implementation of customer experience processes to meet customer service standards and achieve sales targets.

    Accountant Mr Price Money

    Job Description

    • What does an Accountant do? They ensure that the financial records of the business are maintained in compliance with accounting and business practices and done in an accurate and timeous manner.   

    Responsibilities

    Account Management: 

    • Verifies, allocates, posts and reconciles all general ledger accounts.
    • Processing of all month end journals
    • Produces error-free accounting reports and presents their results.
    • Analyses financial information and summarize financial status.
    • Responsible for tax audits and tax returns. Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance. 
    • Reviews and recommends modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
    • Provides financial advice by studying operational issues, applying financial principles and practices and developing recommendations.                                

    Reporting:

    Accounts Receivable Management: 

    • Responsible for debtor’s reconciliation of the general ledger and the subsidiary ledger. Responsible for debtors-related general ledger queries.

    Other:

    • Month end and ad hoc payment approval
    • Statutory AFS preparation 
    • Interact with Internal and External auditors to provide required support 

    Qualifications

    Education:

    • Accounting degree

    Experience:

    • 2-5 years’ accounting experience (completed articles advantages)
    • Accounting work experience within a retailer is preferred
