    Technology Engineer – Mining / Mineral Processing

    Purpose of Role:

    • Step into a pivotal role where your expertise will help shape the future of mining and mineral processing technology. You’ll be at the forefront of identifying and assessing breakthrough solutions that drive smarter, safer, and more sustainable technology across the industry. This is your chance to influence Weir’s global innovation agenda, collaborate with world-class teams, and make a lasting impact on how essential resources are extracted and processed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Technology Scouting: Identify and evaluate emerging technologies in mineral processing and mining, assessing their relevance and potential impact on Weir’s products and processes.
    • Strategic Engagement: Build early relationships with technology companies, start-ups, and developers to understand how new solutions can address industry challenges and advance Weir’s innovation agenda.
    • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with technology and product leads across Weir to ensure new technologies align with business needs and strategic priorities.
    • Technology Advocacy: Present and promote promising technologies to the Weir Technology Excellence Committee

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Degree (MEng or equivalent) in a relevant technical or commercial discipline; advanced qualifications are valued but not essential.
    • Proven experience in mine design, mining equipment, or mineral processing and extraction, ideally with hands-on field exposure.
    • Demonstrated ability to build business partnerships in engineering, drive innovation, and make strategic decisions.
    • Strong commercial awareness, with a track record of identifying and developing new opportunities.

    Supervisor

    Purpose of Role:

    • To oversee and manage the daily operations of the paint plant, ensuring efficient production, adherence to safety and quality standards, and optimal use of resources.
    • The Paint Plant Supervisor is responsible for coordinating staff, maintaining equipment, and ensuring timely delivery of painted components in line with production schedules and customer requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture. Operate machines / equipment in accordance with safe work instructions. Adhere to safety and housekeeping as per company procedures and OHS Act requirements including its associated regulations.
    • Plan production and ensure OTD (on-time delivery) and Quality are met
    • Follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedures)
    • Drive Implementation of 6S, KAIZEN principles and LEAN approach.
    • Attend other operational meetings when required.
    • Green Area boards must be updated by COB of the 1st working day of the new month.
    • Liaise with internal & external customers and suppliers.
    • Submit month end reports for OPCO meetings.
    • Document and report progress, issues, and improvements to upper management.
    • Liaise with clients and internal departments to understand requirements and provide solutions.
    • Resolve team conflicts and operational issues efficiently.
    • Train, guide, and evaluate painting staff to maintain high performance and quality standards

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

    • Proven experience as a Paint Supervisor or in a similar role (minimum 3–5 years).
    • Strong knowledge of industrial and automotive painting techniques and materials.
    • Familiarity with paint shop equipment and safety protocols.
    • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in painting is a plus.
    • Physical stamina and ability to work in a demanding environment.

    Domain Architect - Finance

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead finance transformation initiatives in partnership with the Product Domain Lead, acting as deputy and escalation point with readiness for full domain leadership.
    • Own and govern end-to-end finance processes, ensuring integration and alignment across business domains such as Source to Pay, Order to Cash, and Data to Insights.
    • Design, implement, and optimise finance solutions that align with enterprise architecture and strategic business goals, collaborating with IT, business, and external partners.
    • Drive architectural consistency, compliance, and continuous improvement by embedding best practices, fostering innovation, and staying current with industry trends

    Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications: 

    • Strong understanding of relevant technologies, frameworks and tools within the domain include SAP S/4 Hana
    • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the domain and its specific regulatory requirements and industry standards
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
