What is your role as an IT intern?
- Lead and improve analytical programs and present the results of your business unit/category/region to leaders.
- Analyze the variable, granular data of your business and regularly use advanced models to deliver business insights across diverse business domains.
- Answer and anticipate critical business questions and opportunities and deliver insights to the business in ways that make significant impacts.
- Demonstrate use of data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, Excel), and analytic tools (Python, R, SQL, KNIME/Alteryx) to grasp the business insights from our mountains of data.
- Collaborate with multifunctional teams (Marketing, Finance, IT, Sales) to improve key business priorities based on your data-driven insights.
This is a 12-month contract role, where you will be required to dedicate 3-4 days a week towards the internship.
Job Qualifications
- Studying towards bachelor’s or master's degree in quantitative field (Operation Research, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Math, Statistics, Physics, Analytics, etc.) or equivalent work experience on a part time basis.
- Experience using analytics techniques (AI/Machine Learning, Econometrics, Operations Research, Statistics, Root Cause Diagnostics) to tackle defined business problems.
- Ability to demonstrate, translate, and communicate sophisticated data into simple conclusions and business actions.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to deliver a clear story to influence agreement to your recommendations with data and insights.
- Data management and visualization skills/tools in one or more of the following: Databricks, SQL, KNIME, Tableau, Power BI, JMP/SPSS or similar).
- Proficient in Python/R or demonstrated technical aptitude and willingness to learn.
- Self-motivated to work with diverse business scenarios, prioritizing multiple priorities, and have a business and consultancy mind-set, while technically (data) savvy, and passionate about discovering new/innovative ways of doing things.

As a Manufacturing Intern you will be responsible for a certain project in the area of optimization of manufacturing processes, loss elimination, quality control or development of engineering systems, which includes active improvement of the process (breakdown reduction, material flow optimization, energy or material savings).
The Internship will last for 2 - 3 months depending on the project specifics and your availability. During the internship you will work on real projects and develop real business solutions. You are going to be surrounded by multifunctional team and experienced P&G managers to guide you and equip to success.

Job Qualifications
- Undergraduate or early graduate in any Engineering discipline
- South African Bar coded/Smart-card ID
- Fluent English;
- Strong communication skills, leadership and analytical capabilities;

- Ability to learn, initiative and flexibility.
