    Receptionist

    Key Responsibilities

    • Answering all incoming calls within three rings
    • Reporting of telephone system faults to the relevant supplier
    • Printing of daily reports from the telephone management system
    • Sorting of Company mail to the correct person\department
    • Compiling the company mailbag
    • Welcoming and announcing visitors to the correct person
    • Distribution of messages to the correct person within the performance standard time
    • Filing of reception documents
    • Liaising with callers in a professional, courteous and respectful manner
    • Updating the extension lists and distribution to all staff
    • Allocating and programming of persons to extension numbers
    • Liaising with service providers- quotes / maintenance
    • Monthly grocery shopping
    • Weekly stock take
    • Liaising with maintenance team and ensuring all job functions executed
    • Maintenance of building ensured

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum requirement is a Matric (Grade 12)

    Area Sales Executive

    • Scheduling of new business appointments
    • Cold calling

    • Generate new sales leads and acquire new customers
    • Selling of the full supply chain products
    • Establish customer needs, developing opportunities and expand customer base

     Minimum Requirements

    Freight Estimator

    Key Responsibilities

    • Execute estimates (all modes.) end to end
    • Ensure accurate use of operating systems (cargo wise)
    • Measure and improve estimates hit ratio
    • Query escalations resolutions
    • Liaise with various Clients, Shipping Lines, Agents, Port Authorities, Customs and Transporters
    • Liaise with internal departments i.e. Operations, Commercial and Customer Service to ensure accurate follow through of costing and feedback to relevant parties
    • Obtain best rates through liaison with various Airlines, Shipping Agents and Overseas Agents
    • Ensure all estimates are completed timeously and accurately
    • Compile and distribute all Cost Estimates for Air, Sea, Road and Over Border Freight
    • Negotiate best terms / pricing for maximum company profitability

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric (Grade 12)
    • Relevant tertiary qualification would be advantageous
    • Experience in the Logistics industry is a necessity
    • Strong Business Acumen
    • Familiar with customs tariffs and port charges (incoterms )
    • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
    • Valid Code 08 driver’s license and own reliable transport
    • Advanced Microsoft Package – Word, Excel

    Divisional Chief Executive

    Job Purpose


    Generate business, achieve targets and manage all aspects of the business including but not limited to staff, operations, sales, customer care, quality, credit / collections and costs for the East Region. The East Region consists of the Durban, Pietermaritzburg, Richards Bay and East London Branches.

    Key Responsibilities 

    • Set the branch goals, operational plan and budget with the CEO
    • Grow revenue and retain existing clients
    • Control branch costs in general and abide by budget constraints
    • Achieve set budgets and targets
    • Effective management of the various departments and functions
    • Maintain and apply the ARAMEX culture, image and standards
    • Customer Satisfaction – Ensure proper customer service to branches and clients
    • Sales and Marketing – Visit clients to enhance relationships and explore new business opportunities
    • Human Resources – Co-ordinate with HR to ensure the recruitment of talented employees
    • Training – Liaise with Training to ensure staff are properly and adequately trained to perform their functions

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent training and/or experience
    • At least 10 years’ experience in a Management position
    • Experience in the Logistics industry is advantageous
    • Proven successful track record at running both a sizable team and income statement
    • Strong Business Acumen
    • Must be willing to travel
    • Valid Code 08 drivers licence and own reliable transport
