    COR Operator - Houghton

    Description

    Support COR operations.

    • Provide Centre personnel with system battery combinations in cases when KABA lock batteries need to be replaced.
    • Support the Security and Compliance Officers (SCOs) with weekly alarm testing and Occurrence Book (OB) entries.
    • Analyse events to determine trends, record them in the OB, and communicate these to the Head: COR.
    • Log and maintain an incident or transgression on the system, generate reports, and provide feedback to management.
    • Compile CCTV and Non-Compliance reports and maintain all necessary registers (OB).
    • Identify trends or irregularities and compile reports to be communicated to the Centre Managers.
    • Generate reports regarding tested alarms and provide the SCO's with the alarm status report.
    • Report any changes to focal points of the cameras at the centre.
    • Frequently inspect that each Centre’s Satellite System is connecting and record evidence on the relevant checklist.
    • Use the database information to compile relevant reports and provide management with trends.

    Monitor and track systems, alarms, and incidents in accordance with assigned responsibilities.

    • Track and monitor in accordance with allocated responsibilities, using the appropriate systems, and follow the appropriate escalation processes.
    • Maintain regular system updates and ensure that the systems are operating optimally and properly.
    • Identify and report any SOP transgressions, emergencies or threats identified in accordance with escalation processes or emergency procedures.
    • Verify alarm events with relevant third parties and take action in accordance with agreed-upon procedures.
    • Escalate any faults with the alarms and provide a status report to the applicable party.

    Generate and provide system codes and exercise remote access control.

    • Responsible for generating and providing system codes and exercising remote access control of allocated assets.
    • Update system with relevant information required for issuing codes.
    • Confirm and verify the information received from the applicable stakeholders and complete the relevant security checks prior to issuing codes.

    Maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all internal stakeholders (i.e. Local Control Room, Risk Departments and Operations, SBV - Tactical Support Officers and National Police and Industry Joint Operations Centres).
    • Inform the IT department of any network-related errors at the Centre.
    • Promote and maintain an Early Warning Intelligence Network in order to mitigate potential threats in a proactive manner.
    • Establish and maintain external stakeholder relationships with emergency services e.g. SAPS, SABRIC etc.
    • Identify and escalate transgressions, system failures, and faulty CCTV in accordance with the SOPs and assist with remediation or preventative measures.
    • Investigate and escalate any faults with the alarms or equipment to the stakeholders.

    Manage the relevant systems within the operating environment.

    • Manage the users on the systems and check that the users have the functions that are required.
    • Troubleshoot to resolve any system errors, before escalating to IT or Service Providers.
    • Download footage for the required system to assist with any investigation and distribute accordingly.
    • Remotely activate the Vehicle Protection Unit on SBV Assets, in accordance with the escalation process.
    • Assist the Line Manager and project managers with identifying and testing new technology.
    • Test systems on a regular basis and check that they are updated accordingly.

    Ad Hoc Responsibilities

    • Address any other strategic duties and tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management to support the smooth operation of the COR and to contribute to the overall security and compliance efforts.

    Requirements

    Work Experience

    • 2 years’ experience in operating, administering or monitoring access control systems e.g. CCTV 
    • Experience in Logistics or Cash in Transit industry (Advantageous)

    Education

    • Grade 12
    • Oryx Listener certificate/ Training (Not for vehicle monitoring)
    • Relevant training
    • Registered with PSIRA
    • Frequent Workshops and Training to keep abreast of new technology and systems.

    ATM Demand & Supply Planner - Houghton

    Description

    Key Performance Areas

    Responsible to forecast cash holdings/ cash outs and maintenance of accurate data

    • Provide and manage accurate forecasting on all streams, denominations and cash centres in line with Bank requirements to minimise cash outs and to improve ATM Availability.
    • Manage and update data uploads daily to provide current, comprehensive and accurate forecasts to the Banks
    • Manage, monitor and update all parameters information to achieve the desired forecast accuracy levels.
    • Track the forecast accuracy daily, make corrections to any variations which may occur and inform Banks and Centre Management
    • Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns as required.

    Build and maintain internal and external stakeholder relationships

    • Create and maintain good customer relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Based on escalation from customers, support management with risk assessments and implementation of actions to mitigate losses.
    • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy upon request from customers
    • Communicate forecast on cash holdings/ outs, service failures and estimations to management as per SLA.
    • Monitor and report on important changes and business strategies to internal and external stakeholders as required.
    • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance and provide feedback to customers
    • Address demand-related issues and any Bank escalations in a timely and effective manner with the respective Bank by liaising with the respective Centre Manager to investigate and to provide feedback.
    • Track forecast accuracy of the banks, generate reports and analyse trends of actual vs forecast to provide detail when required.

    Responsible for accurate data on the applicable system

    • Integrate data to different interfaces, spreadsheets and data engines to maintain functional, accurate and current data at all times.
    • Provide recommendations on enhancement to systems as required

    Provide reports to internal and external stakeholders

    • Provide accurate reporting on forecast accuracy statistics and trends as required to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Compile MIS data and share with management upon request.
    • Compile SLA reports, share with management and represent customer SLA monthly meetings.

    Provide leadership to employees within the organisation, creating a winning culture and high morale

    • Lead as an Ambassador and executor of Change
    • Act as a change management architect in periods of change to ensure continuity to operations
    • Effectively communicate and embed new processes and procedures as they occur addressing or escalating matters / concerns to the SME’s (subject matter experts) when required
    • Facilitate the necessary presentations, workshops or forums in order to ensure consistent and accurate communication is given across one’s department

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Industrial Engineering Degree: Advantageous
    • 3 years within Cash Operations or ATM environment
    • Solid understanding of ATM cash demand planning and procedures.
    • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
