    Detonator Plant Operator Gr2 (Mpumalanga - Secunda)

    Description

    • Ensure compliance with organisational policies by maintaining up-to-date knowledge, participating in training sessions, and proactively sourcing answers to queries on a daily and as-needed basis. 
    • Comply with established processes through accurate implementation, continuous process awareness, and timely resolution of any areas of concern.
    • Produce products in accordance with established standards by operating equipment and machinery, identifying and resolving issues promptly, and completing all required administrative tasks. 
    • Prepare processing equipment for commissioning and decommissioning by following defined procedures, reporting any issues, and addressing operational queries as needed. 
    • Maintain the plant at defined housekeeping standards by adhering to established cleanliness protocols and ensuring equipment remains clean, safe, and ready for use at all times. 
    • Ensure effective implementation of SHE by delivering comprehensive training, completing training programs, and addressing any identified gaps or non-compliance. 
    • Monitor SHE performance by establishing clear standards, ensuring timely completion of monitoring activities, and resolving issues within defined deadlines.

    Production Team Coordinator (Mpumalanga - Secunda)

    Description

    • Lead the achievement of production delivery targets by developing plant production plans, overseeing implementation, identifying and resolving issues, and monitoring output to ensure targets are met.
    • Ensure product quality by enforcing compliance with quality standards, overseeing testing and analysis, identifying and resolving quality-related issues during production.
    • Oversee start-up and shut-down processes by defining detailed plans, coordinating execution, and ensuring a timely and efficient return to operations.
    • Optimise production efficiency, minimise waste by identifying improvement opportunities, develop actionable recommendations, and implement solutions as needed.
    • Implement and manage expenditure within budget by understanding cost components, approving spend in alignment with financial policies, and conducting monthly reviews.
    • Ensure effective implementation of SHE by delivering comprehensive training, completing training programs, and addressing any identified gaps or non-compliance.
    • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders by facilitating regular communication, exchanging feedback, and supporting collaboration.
    • Monitor the implementation of unit business processes by monitoring compliance, identifying process anomalies, and executing corrective actions as required. 

    Requirements

    • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent with Mathematics, Physical Science and English.
    • Diploma in Production Management / Process Engineering or similar will be advantageous.
    • 4+ years Detonator production experience in manufacturing plant.
    • 2+ years in a production/manufacturing plant processing.

    Process Controller Gr 2 (Mpumalanga - Secunda)

    Description

    • Monitor production processes by adhering to defined procedures, conducting visual inspections of equipment and operations, identifying discrepancies, reporting issues to the foreman, and completing daily administrative tasks.  
    • Complete shift handovers by compiling accurate shift information, documenting key updates, and communicating effectively with the incoming process controller as required.  
    • Conduct basic fault finding by inspecting equipment and processes, identifying and reporting faults, and preparing equipment for maintenance in accordance with operational requirements.  
    • Pre-commission, Commission, De-commission and Safe making of chemical equipment and systems in the process. 
    • Quality check in the process by taking samples and analyse the product.  
    • Take final product sample to the laboratory to be analyse. 
    • Conduct safety inspecting, on safety equipment in the plant and on the equipment. 
    • Contribute to the team by actively participating in team events, identifying areas where support is needed, and providing the necessary assistance.
    • Ensure effective implementation of SHE by delivering comprehensive training, completing training programs, and addressing any identified gaps or non-compliance. 
    • Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders by facilitating regular communication, exchanging feedback, and supporting collaboration. 

    Requirements

    • Matric / Grade 12 or equivalent with English, Mathematics and Science. 
    • Relevant Certificate. 
    • Driver's License.
    • QCTO Process Controller Certificate will be advantageous.
    • 3+ years process control within mining or explosives industry.
    • 3+ years manufacturing processes and techniques.

    Electrical Technician (Mpumalanga - Secunda)

    Description

    • Implement the unit operations plan by understanding key activities, projects, and performance indicators; communicating objectives to relevant stakeholders; and monitoring execution on a daily basis.   
    • Report on performance by tracking unit outcomes against targets, identifying progress and areas of concern, and submitting them quarterly or as required.
    • Drive effective utilisation and continuous development of unit systems. 
    • Manage the delivery of instrumentation production and maintenance activities by planning and coordinating tasks, optimising processes and quality, resolving delays and issues, and ensuring delivery meets targets and performance standards. 
    • Respond to shift emergencies by identifying and evaluating critical issues, prioritising actions to ensure safety and restore production, minimising downtime and risks, and managing implementation and reporting as required. 
    • Maintain technical expertise in production and instrumentation maintenance by attending training, participating in forums, reviewing and sharing relevant publications, engaging with industry experts, and recommending improvements. 
    • Conduct and identify faults, diagnosing root causes, carrying out repairs, verifying functionality, and finalising job documentation on time. 
    • Serve as a subject matter expert by coaching and mentoring team members to build technical capability, drive performance, and support knowledge sharing across the team.

    • BTech Electrical or similar. 
    • Driver's License.
    • 5+ years in electrical maintenance and chemical industry experience.
