Description

• The purpose of the role of Planner is to ensure that a programme is delivered at Tender Stage that reflects the complexity of the tendered project, including the pricing of P&G relative to the program. In addition, the Planner will be responsible for the updating of progress on projects, the resource schedules, assessment of delays and their effect for Extension of Time Claims in order to ensure projects are up to date and completed on time.

• Assist with Tender Programming
• Creates, maintains, reviews and administers construction schedules and programs
• Manages variations on current projects and provides input and support for EOT Claims
• Customer Service

Academic Qualification

• Tertiary Degree/ Diploma

Description

• Supervises and co-ordinates workers, materials and plant in accordance with programme and deadlines.  Ensures compliance with the highest quality and safety standards at all times. Optimises on-site resources at an operational level.

• Promoting, Managing, Enforcing and Monitoring of HSE requirements on site
• Taking complete Responsibility & Accountability for the overall quality compliance of the project under his/her control
• Performs work under the guidance of the Site Agent and works within the given timelines
• Administers cost controls for the works

Academic Qualification

• Tertiary Degree/ Diploma

Years of Experience

• 15 Years + Technical Experience 
• 8 Years + Managerial Experience

Professional Registration and Statutory appointment

• SACPCMP (Construction Manager)

• Providing effective leadership in the promotion of HSE compliance in the workplace
• Taking complete Responsibility and Accountability for the overall quality compliance of all projects under his/her control
• Drives short and long term planning and programming and oversees optimal document management and business reporting through SharePoint and the BOS system
• Plans, monitors and manages project costs, ensuring effective optimisation of financial performance
• Manages Stakeholders and protects reputation risks through ethical contracting and relationship practices through the GVK-Siya Zama Values

Academic Qualification
