    Principal Software Engineer

    About the Role

    • We are seeking a passionate and experienced Principal Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for leading innovative projects using Java, AWS, and content structuring technologies. You'll be part of the team responsible for collecting French content, from enrichments with AI or Engineered to publication on our online platforms. You'll need to develop your skills in transforming XML content via XSLT
    • Interest and curiosity in artificial intelligence for development purposes (CoPilot) but also for fundamental knowledge (RAG princples) are key.

    Responsibilities

    • Designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable applications using Java and AWS.
    • Setting-up and improving our content processing workflow
    • Collaborating with development teams to identify and resolve technical issues.
    • Mentoring and empowering developers to improve their technical skills and efficiency
    • Participating in the development of the team's technology strategy.

    Requirements 

    • Have a Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of experience in software development, with significant experience as a technical leader
    • Have experience in Java and AWS certifications, Python as a bonus
    • Have experience in content structuring (XML,XSD,DTD) or planned skills upgrades
    • Able to mentor and train technical teams.
    • Demonstrate problem-solving and communication skills.

    Editorial Operations Lead, Global Analytical

    About the Role

    • We are looking for a resourceful and adaptable Editorial Operations Lead, Global Analytical, to manage and optimize processes, workflows, and resources to deliver superior analytical content. You will support the North America Analytical portfolio and drive global initiatives to enhance the quality, speed, and scalability of content delivery. This role reports to the Director of Content Operations.

    Key areas of oversight

    • Content delivery schedules, including execution against plan for base and new content, publication acceleration (slip and pull) 
    • Operational metrics, including monitoring product experience dashboard, forecasting analysis to action timely mitigations   
    • Content management system and scheduling tools, including webstar/ticket solution monitoring, driving enhancements and leading troubleshooting  
    • REPH and vendor relationships, including monitoring SLA adherence and resourcing to ensure timely and high-quality delivery  
    • Supporting Lexis+ Content Platform (L+CP) strategic initiatives as subject matter expert, including leading coordination efforts on discovery, communications, and user testing 
    • Supporting content expansion, acquisition and divestments 

    Responsibilities:

    • Content Publishing Delivery Management: Oversee schedules, track progress, and ensure successful production and delivery of digital and print content.  
    • Process Optimization: Assess and refine workflows within core editorial ops functions to enhance productivity and quality; drive continuous improvements by championing best practices, OKRs, and enhancing workflows across Global Analytical.  
    • Technology and Tools Integration: Identify and implement new tools or systems, including AI solutions to improve workflows to drive customer satisfaction; support adoption with training and documentation as needed  
    • Data Analysis and Reporting: Develop and monitor performance metrics for content operations and use insights to optimize processes; deliver reporting for senior stakeholder, including for Global Analytical Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs)  
    • Team Synergy and Leadership: Work with Editorial Operations peers across global regions to harmonize Analytical processes and systems; provide guidance and expertise to team members; ensure collaborative partnerships with Editorial, Builds, Print Segment, and Content Strategy teams 
    • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely across GO, GTO, GPO, Commercial, REPH, and other teams to enable successful execution of key strategic initiatives, e.g., L+CP Analytical, Gen AI Research and Drafting 

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field 
    • 3+ years of experience in content/editorial operations with a results-driven mindset and high change capability  
    • Demonstrated project management experience with solid analytical and problem-solving abilities using process improvement methodologies  
    • Advanced skills in XML and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint); active user of AI, automations, and emerging tech to drive efficiencies (e.g., LLM console, Copilot, etc.)  
    • Proficient in data analysis and performance metrics, with the ability to report insights, create visualizations and progress to stakeholders  
    • Excellent communication skills, with ability to collaborate effectively across departments and global teams

    Senior Editor

    About the Role

    • Within our UK Analytical Editorial Operations group, you will be part of a dedicated team responsible for delivering authoritative legal content. These publications are relied upon by practitioners and academics worldwide for their comprehensive coverage of evolving legal systems. As a Senior Editor, you will be responsible for enhancing and delivering editorial content across multiple formats and jurisdictions. You will help shape efficient editorial processes and systems, driving customer value while ensuring that our key titles and products remain both accurate and up-to-date. You will also support the ongoing drive to scale our workflows through the use of AI and other efficiencies.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage Production Schedules: Planning and maintaining detailed content timelines for both print and digital formats, identifying potential bottlenecks, mitigating risks, and communicating deadlines to stakeholders.
    • Ensure Editorial Quality: Reviewing, copyediting, and styling legal manuscripts to align with house style; conducting spot checks, coordinating quality assurance reviews, and monitoring legislative/case law updates for accuracy.
    • Prepare and Maintain Content: Overseeing the creation of consolidated indexes, tables of cases, and statutory material; uploading and organizing content in relevant systems, and preparing annual or biannual supplements and cumulative volumes.
    • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Liaising with authors, freelancers, offshore production teams, and other internal collaborators to address editorial queries and keeping publications on schedule.
    • Track Progress and Report: Compiling regular status reports for management, monitoring overall project progress, and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
    • Drive Operational Efficiencies: Identifying areas for workflow improvement, recommending solutions, and implementing best practices to enhance editorial processes and production systems.

    Requirements

    • Demonstrable experience in editorial operations.
    • Demonstrable experience in legal publishing or legal practice, along with a strong grasp of how law develops in the UK—covering both legislative processes and common law. Depending on the position, this would include a specific focus on English or Scottish legal frameworks.
    • Be familiar with multi-jurisdictional or Commonwealth case law is advantageous, along with the ability to conduct in-depth legal research, handle editorial responsibilities, and accurately present complex legal material.
    • Have strong organizational skills, with the ability to meet rigid and frequent deadlines while managing multiple priorities.
    • Able to demonstrate solid project management skills and resolve issues proactively across cross-functional teams to ensure deadlines are met.
    • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all published material.
    • Have knowledge of digital publishing tools or XML workflows is a plus
    • Required to come into the office once in a while when requested.
