    Operator Support

    Minimum Requirements

    • Previous experience in an aggregate environment or equivalent experience
    • Computer literacy
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy is essential
    • Be able to communicate well at all levels
    • Willing to work shifts and overtime
    • Health and Safety knowledge and standards

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist in all general housekeeping and maintenance
    • Shift work, competence to learn how to operate all processes in the aggregate production/mining department
    • Ensure safe and healthy working practices
    • Demonstrated competence to maintain conveyor belts and other plant equipment

    Manager Purchasing

    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATION

    • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Logistics Management (NQF Level 7)

     IDEAL

    • Member of the South African Production and Inventory Control Society (SAPICS) is advantageous

     EXPERIENCE

    • 5 - 8 years experience in cement/lime manufacturing or mining industries, with emphasis on Materials, Procurement and/or Logistics management
    • 5 years exposure to manufacturing and supply network, VBM and strategic planning
    • 5 years people management (particularly of teams in remote locations)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Sourcing and Contract Negotiation

    • Lead localised sourcing negotiations
    • Serve as resident expert in contract negotiations and contract development
    • Coordinate supplier management
    • Administer standard templates for all components of arrangements
    • Maintain executed contracts in a single repository
    • Monitor contract compliance & expiration dates
    • Provide process support to assure efficient and responsive purchasing
    • Oversee inventory management and optimisation efforts
    • Develop and maintain the master inventory list
    • Enforce procurement policies including preferred supplier usage and approvals
    • Enforce contract pricing compliance
    • Oversee execution and monitor exceptions
    • Provide supplier performance management guidance and scorecard templates
    • Report on inventory performance data

    Stakeholder Management

    • Develop, manage, and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and transporters
    • Coordinate the planning and procurement of materials in partnership with sales
    • Communicate with Supply Chain regarding new/ modified/ obsolete items and manage the system accordingly
    • Communicate to Management regarding stock levels, discrepancies, issues etc.

    People Management

    • Manage the performance of direct reports and monitor adherence to expected standards.
    • Offer guidance and support and if required take appropriate disciplinary action
    • Coach and train team members to perform optimally in their roles
    • Provide direct reports with opportunities for growth and development through on-the-job training and feedback
    • Participate in the selection and appointment of new team members
    • Support the onboarding of new team members
    • Conduct regular meetings and promote open and ongoing communication with the team
    • Approve the leave of direct reports and manage overtime where applicable

    Boilermaker

    Minimum Requirements

    • N3
    • Boilermaker Trade Certificate
    • 3 years heavy industry boilermaker experience
    • Experience in fabricating steel structures
    • Experience in crushers, screens, conveyor belts and other general heavy equipment
    • Experience in pipe work
    • Be able to make boiler-making development
    • Experience in cutting and welding
    • Experience in rigging and sling operation
    • Computer literate
    • Must be a team player
    • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
    • Willing to take instructions from superiors
    • Willing to work overtime and be on standby
    • Be able to work under pressure
    • Knowledge and skilled in reading and interpreting of engineering drawings
    • Demonstrate aptitude in basic engineering fitting
    • Knowledge of Mine Health and Safety Acts standards

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Relate to safety, health and environment
    • Demonstrate competence to maintain plant equipment
    • Carry out repairs effectively and timeously
    • Complete all scheduled jobs as well as accompanying job cards
    • Perform all required tests and inspections
    • Fabricate all required steel structures e.g. chutes/guards
    • Assist the maintenance team to achieve high level of availability of machinery and equipment in the plant

    Mobile Equipment Operator

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12/Matric or Equivalent with post AET Level 4 in Communication and Numeracy
    • Valid Front End Loader driver’s licence from an accredited training provider
    • Previous experience in a Production/Mining environment operating a Front End Loader
    • Be able to communicate well at all levels
    • Good motivational and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent time management and organisational skills
    • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
    • Knowledge of Health and Safety Standards

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Monitor product availability and maintain stock levels
    • Assist in achieving production outputs
    • Loading and off-loading of products and waste
    • Shift work and overtime
    • Pre-start inspections
    • Housekeeping on Front End Loader
    • Manage stockpiling area, storm water management
    • General Equipment Maintenance e.g., Lubrication, Tyre Care
    • Manage trucks cycle time in the loading area
    • Ensure compliance with policies and procedure
    • Compliance with SHE matters

    Graduate

    As part of our talent strategy, we seek to recruit a graduate to undergo a 24 months intensive and structured Graduate Development Program (GDP) in the following discipline within the organisation:

    • Process/Chemical Engineering

    Minimum Requirements

    • A Bachelors Degree from a recognised University with a 60% average pass mark.
    • The ability to learn and fit into the purpose-led and performance driven PPC culture.
    • Preference will be given to qualifying black African female candidates and those who meet BEE criteria.
    • Willing to move from one PPC site to another if required to do so.
    • Have no criminal record.
