    Finance Manager (Fixed Term Contract in line with Funding )

    Purpose of the position:

    • The Finance Manager will be responsible for overall financial management, audit and compliance, reporting, stakeholder management and staff management. This role focuses primarily on Centres for Disease Control (CDC) projects within the organisation.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • CA (SA) and at least 3 years’ experience in finance, accounting, budgeting and management; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • At least 2 years post articles experience
    • Knowledge of financial accounting systems (e.g. SAP)
    • NPO and funded environment experience 
    • PEPFAR audit experience will be great advantage 
    • Ability to work with and create financial modelling tools within Microsoft Excel (advanced)
    • Report writing
    • Clear credit and criminal record
    • Ability to communicate in English
    • Valid code 08 driver’s licence

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Financial management and accounting

    • Supervise and manage project bookkeeping including cashbook processing and journals
    • Ensure the preparation of bank reconciliations and reviews
    • Provide oversight and compliance on project debit cards, staff debtors and expense claims
    • Ensure all funder and statutory deadlines are met
    • Provide financial management support to programme directors
    • Provide assistance to departments for finance-related activities
    • Review and release electronic payments and transfers
    • Ensure completeness and accuracy of the fixed asset register
    • Overall responsibility of the financial management / trial balance as allocated

    Auditing and compliance

    • Ensure accurate accounting for VAT
    • Overall responsibility for the preparation and execution of all fund related audits (internal and external)
    • Assists with preparation and execution of statutory audits

    Cash flow management

    • Ensure adequate cash-flow management
    • Ensure loan account and inter account transfers are done

    Reporting and budgeting

    • Ensure all monthly expense claims and financial reporting are prepared and submitted to funders on time
    • Provide insight to senior management, board and external parties through review of financial reporting for projects
    • Ensure that all reports are reconciled to the underlying financial system

    Stakeholder management

    • Maintain and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

    People management

    • Ensure high level plans are communicated and assigned to the team
    • Engage in the performance review process

    Facility Coordinator

    Purpose of the position:

    • The Facility Coordinator will lead and manage implementation of interventions at district to site level. They will coordinate and work with M&E teams for weekly meetings and review of performance, refine weekly plans in light of yield/challenges and develop QI projects. They will have line management of various coordinators within districts (supervising clinical, support and psychosocial teams etc.) and ensure effective implementation of a peer driven model for case management working collaboratively with a sub-recipient organisation. They will support delivery of differentiated HTS and models of care: HIVSS, index testing, recency testing.
    • The Facility Coordinator will ensure effective collaboration between teams, especially clinical and M&E teams. They will engage with and establish optimal working relationships with stakeholders (district DOH, health care facilities, C&T networks and other implementing organisations). They will ensure reporting to and communication with the Regional Manager

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Bachelors’ degree/diploma in Nursing Science, health or equivalent
    • Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage
    • Trained and completed APC sessions
    • NIMART trained
    • Trained in TB and HIV clinical management
    • 5 years’ experience practising as a qualified health care professional
    • 2 years in managerial / supervisory experience
    • Valid registration with SANC, HPCSA or any other recognised registration body
    • Ability to communicate in IsiXhosa and English or another South African language
    • Valid code 08 driver’s licence
    • Clear criminal record

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Leads a cluster of facility clinical teams
    • Responsible for DSD implementation and coordination of teams
    • Ensures integrated TB and HIV screening, prevention, diagnosis, treatment and continuity of care
    • Provides clinical and technical to facility team leads
    • Participates in hospital, district, PHC and clinic committee meetings; supports multi-disciplinary team approach to managing client
    • Works closely with QI teams to embed impactful change initiatives

    Peer Educator AYP: Chris Hani

    Purpose of the position:

    • The peer educator should focus on directly supporting HIV testing services, including community and facility-based testing, as well as the integration of supportive services such as pre- and post-test counselling, offering PrEP and PEP, linkage to treatment, viral load suppression and re-entry into care. Perform minimum required M&E activities

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12/ NCV
    • Accredited/Recognised 10 Days HIV counselling certificates
    • Certified to conduct finger prick testing
    • One (1) years’ related experience and/or training
    • Ability to communicate in English and isiXhosa languages
    • Driver’s license would be advantageous
    • Residing within the allocated ward/district
    • Knowledge and experience in a DREAMS or related programme a requirement
    • Experience in data collection and capturing
    • MS Office profiency
    • Clear criminal record
    • Ability to travel as and when required

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Conduct mapping, with the guidance of the Nurse clinician and enrolled nurse, to identify hots spots to mobilize most at risk populations.
    • Draw on knowledge of the target community to identify Community –Based Organizations, youth structures, youth ambassadors and Community Health Workers to support the mobilization
    • Conduct pre-screening to identify individuals at high risk of HIV and link to care
    • In addition for community:
    • treatment literacy including PrEP for children/adolescents’/ young people through community based
    • psychosocial support focusing on adherence and disclosure including:
    • Continued sensitization of community-based organizations working with children/adolescents and related stakeholders on linkage and treatment adherence
    • Support the implementation and strategy as the Data Capturer with the team.
    • Ensure the interventionists capture the paper-based forms on the electronic system
    • Verify, scan, rename, and upload enrolment and risk forms and service plans provided by the interventionists
    • Manage your appointments for each team/interventionist to submit and discuss their data
    • Provide information to Team Leads on staff who are not capturing correctly to ensure ethical data and correction of the problem
    • Health promotion during EPI catch-up/integrated community mobile outreach services
    • Submit weekly and monthly reports to the supervisor
