    Chief of Staff (Port Elizabeth)

    Description
    Job purpose:

    • High-visibility strategic partner that collaborates and supports the Executive General Manager: SA Operations with effective decision making, programme management and the execution of the business strategy and objectives.
    • The CoS acts as a trusted advisor and manager, helping to ensure that the organization's goals are achieved by overseeing the execution of key short term strategic projects in support of business objectives

    Responsibilities:

    Operations performance

    • Tracks business performance against key strategic short-, medium- and long-term objectives.
    • Compiles performance reports for internal and external executive business review.
    • Work with the Executive in an advisory capacity regarding overall themes, opportunities, and challenges that arise for the business.
    • Leads the strategic business planning process including capability and initiatives to realize the business vision and aspirations.
    • Oversees strategic business initiatives (including but not limited to the strategic site master plan and the financial and operational plan) from development through to successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership.
    • Builds and develops relationships with the senior leadership team for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations, and helps to define new operational strategies, working with the executive on special projects. 

    Internal stakeholder management

    • Acts as liaison between key internal stakeholders and the Executive/Senior leadership team.
    • Co-ordinates reporting of stakeholder engagements and the dissemination of reports.
    • Tracks key actions to ensure accurate and timely execution and resolution.
    • Perform financial and human resources functions to ensure optimal management of function and reporting units and their leaders.
    • Manage collaboration and coordination between reporting units.

    External stakeholder management

    • Acts as the liaison between key external stakeholders and the Executive/senior leadership team
    • Co-ordinates reporting needs of stakeholders and stakeholder engagements and the dissemination of reports.
    • Tracks key actions to ensure accurate and timely execution and resolution. 

    Business performance

    • Tracks and reviews key short-, medium- and long-term business metrics.
    • Advises on and initiates corrective actions to address key business metrics that are at risk of being off target.

    Requirements
    Skills Required

    Background/experience

    • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce or equivalent
    • Post-graduate qualification or MBA is advantageous.
    • 10-15 years’ Commercial and Manufacturing, or related industry experience
    • Experience in leading and advising initiatives on a strategic production site (ideally in a pharmaceutical environment)

    • Proven leadership capability and managerial experience at a senior level
    • In-depth insight into commercial, manufacturing and/or operations

    Sales Representative (Scientific Sales) Kwa-Zulu Natal: Mainline (Kwazulu Natal)

    OBJECTIVES

    • The Sales Representative (Scientific Sales) for Kwa-Zulu Natal Mainline acts as the primary customer contact and is responsible for implementing marketing strategy and promoting Aspen products as led by the Regional Sales Manager

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Managing all associated expenses ensuring ROI on all activities.
    • Perform as a sales leader to achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following-up with medical educational programs, and achieving or exceeding sales targets through both in-person and virtual engagement.
    • Drive cross functional efficiencies and collaboration with key stakeholders across the business.
    • Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyse business effectiveness of sales activities and territory analysis, and develop territory plans with Manager 
    • Partner with other colleagues to share best practices and seek to learn and grow as a Scientific Representative.
    • Demonstrate passion for our products and sustain that passion through the entire sales cycle while always building our brand and never losing sight of how we serve patients. 
    • To support the retention and development of Key External expert relationships through the detailing of a therapeutic portfolio.
    • Understanding of research and development trends, building product awareness and aiding decisions surrounding product acceptance and adoption.
    • Follow up with targeted HCPs, gather feedback on their experience with Aspen products and provide them with an ongoing customer support to ensure effective choice and use of the products.
    • Manage, coordinate, and administer portfolio within regional territory including planning, territory analysis, implementing customer targeting and call coverage of customer base.
    • Drive Focus brands
    • Achieve and exceed set targets and market share objectives and track sales data to achieve or exceed sales budgets.
    • Provide ongoing customer support to create additional value in the business relationship including product training, external meetings, and webinars.
    • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
    • Communicate and report on adverse reaction within 24 hours and ensure that all product complaints are resolved within the respective timelines.
    • Plan, organise and arrange training to Pharmacist/ Pharmacists assistants if required.
    • Implement area specific strategies that would positively impact the business and share best practices within the team.
    • Maintain adherence business rules i.e., call rates standards, call logging adherence and ensure submission of monthly and weekly planners and reports.
    • There will be a requirement to travel overnight to some of the regions as part of the territory
    • Monitor and analyse data and market conditions to identify competitive advantage and product usage to improve sales performance.
    • Pursue continuous learning and professional development and stay up to date with the latest industry trends,
    • Plan and organise and arrange training to HCPs.
    • Promote products ethically and within compliance based on company’s sales process and approved marketing strategy.
    • Adherence to all CCCO expectations in customer interaction and activities

    Requirements
    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • Matric
    • A tertiary qualification is an advantage

    KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum 3 to 6 years proven successful track record in pharmaceutical industry will be required.
    • Existing relationships with key customers Specialist will be an advantage (Pulmonologists, ENT’s, Paediatricians, Neurology, Ophthalmology, Physicians and General Practitioners).
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Have a complete and thorough understanding of the scope of the pharmaceutical market
    • Understanding of the budgeting and forecasting processes
    • A good grasp of marketing strategies and processes. 

    SOFT SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
