    Business Development Executive (Integrated POS Solutions) Cape Town

    About the role

    • Our Integrated Payments Solution helps restaurants, bars and cafes offer seamless customer experiences by embedding payments into their operational tech stack - improving service flow, reducing errors, and creating operational visibility.
    • We’re looking for an experienced Sales Executive to drive adoption of Yoco’s integrated payments across the Food and Beverage Industry. This is not a quick-turn sales role - it’s about understanding complex hospitality operations, building tailored solutions that solve real workflow problems, and creating long-term value for clients through strategic partnerships.

    • This is a high-impact, consultative sales role focused on identifying strategic opportunities, building tailored solutions, and cultivating long-term partnerships with decision-makers in the hospitality space.

    What you will be doing

    • Identify Strategic Opportunities: Target large, multi-site food and beverage outlets, independent restaurants and cafes with complex payments and operational needs.
    • Consultative Discovery: Lead deep discovery sessions to understand business workflows, service models, and operational goals.
    • Solution Design: Craft and present tailored integrated payment solutions, collaborating with our product and technical teams where needed.
    • Multi-Stakeholder Engagement: Navigate and influence multiple decision-makers - finance, IT, operations, and executive leadership - to build consensus and drive deals forward.
    • Full-Cycle Sales Ownership: Own the sales process from lead identification to contract negotiation and post-sale handoff.
    • Onboarding & Training: Aiming to get the establishments setup and active first time, in the right way.
    • Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration: Work closely with POS providers, hospitality software partners, and ecosystem players to drive integrated adoption.
    • Feedback & Influence: Share field insights with internal teams to inform product development, integration priorities, and go-to-market strategy.
    • CRM Usage: You will be required to make use of our CRM to manage your sales pipeline diligently and will be provided with some of the best in class AI tech to support you.

    About you

    • 5+ years of solution sales experience, preferably in fintech, SaaS, Integrated POS systems, or food and beverage tech.
    • Proven track record of solution selling into complex accounts with longer sales cycles and multiple stakeholders.
    • Strong understanding of the food and beverage industry, with experience working with groups that run multiple venues or high-volume operations.
    • Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills - able to engage both operational users and business owners and key decision makers.
    • Technically curious - you understand APIs, integrations, and how different platforms connect to deliver business outcomes.
    • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation ability - you know how to structure deals for win-win outcomes.
    • Self-starter with a high level of ownership, resilience, and emotional intelligence.

    Senior Data Engineer

    About the role

    • You’ll serve as a Senior Data Engineer within the Data Engineering team, which is part of the larger Engineering team at Yoco.
    • The Data Engineering team focuses on creating scalable, cloud-based frameworks, services and platforms. Their goal is to streamline and accelerate data processing, handling both time-to-market and data volume challenges. This encompasses data ingress, egress, transformation (including filtering, aggregation and projection) and the development of data products, utilising batch, real-time, and hybrid processing models.

    What you will be doing

    • Design cloud-based data processing frameworks and services
    • Establish service definitions, standards, conventions, and workflows
    • Develop high-quality, maintainable and performant source code
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with various stakeholders to ensure smooth interaction, and timely and relevant delivery
    • Perform technical interviews, mentor team members and continually drive innovation within the team by nurturing a willingness to experiment and solve complex problems together
    • Take ownership of key data pipelines, ensuring their reliability, efficiency, and scalability
    • Continuously evaluate, identify, and implement new AI-powered tools and methodologies to enhance the data engineering process and optimise team workflows.

    About you

    • A proven track record (3-5 years) with Pipeline Development & Optimisation
    • Python programming
    • Advanced SQL knowledge
    • Good understanding of modern Agile software engineering practices

    Engineering Manager - Acquisition Tribe

    About the role

    • As a Engineering Manager in the Acquisition tribe, you will manage up to 11 engineers spread across two teams, namely the Merchant Activation team and the Conversion team. These teams look after how we onboard new businesses and do ongoing due diligence as well as the main Yoco Website and ecommerce site.
    • Engineering in the Conversion team is currently staffed by an external contracting firm.
    • Together with the Product Management lead and the Product Design manager, you will play a key leadership role in the tribe. This trio is accountable for what value this tribe delivers to the Yoco merchants.
    • This role reports to the Engineering Manager at the tribe leadership level.

    What you will be doing

    • Engineering Managers (EMs) at Yoco focus on the following:
    • People: Retain and grow existing talent, and attract new talent. As a Senior Engineering Manager you will lead approximately 10 engineers spread across 2 teams.
    • Practices: Continuously improve engineering practices. As a Senior Engineering Manager you will be expected to recommend initiatives and lead multiple initiatives across Engineering that improve engineering practices.
    • Delivery: Just as Product Managers are accountable for what teams build, Engineering Managers are accountable for how the what is delivered to our customers. To implement the how requires a detailed understanding of the what. We expect timely delivery with industry-leading quality and non-functional requirements (e.g. security, performance, availability and maintainability).
    • Technical: Contribute to the Engineering technical direction and ensure that your teams are aligned with this technical direction. This might mean getting technically involved (e.g. coding, code reviews, etc.) to ensure that the initiatives move forward.

    About you

    • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer
    • 5 to 7+ years of experience managing up to 10 engineers (both backend and frontend-focused engineers)
    • Experience leading a globally distributed team
    • A track record of retaining, growing and hiring great people
    • Experience in managing engineering teams in a product-based company (instead of a services-based company)
    • Experience in driving business success and product development in a highly cross-functional organisation
    • The ability to thrive with a high level of autonomy and responsibility
    • Experience in payments and/or onboarding / KYC are a bonus
