    Chief of Security (Mpumalanga)

    Description
    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To lead a holistic and pro-active risk management approach to support the strategy and process of prevention, protection, mitigation, response, and continuity, ensuring an integrated resilient approach to efficiently eliminate “siloing” of risk enabling security to detect, deter and prevent incidents.

    BALANCED SCORECARD PILLARS, ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    SAFETY, HEALTH, ENVIRONMENT AND QUALITY

    • Identify and assess level of baseline risk exposures in area of responsibility by considering exposures to business, financial, legal issues, people, equipment, material, environment, processes, etc.
    • Consider the level of risk, apply mitigation and implement control measures for residual risk (set objectives, minimum requirements, etc.)
    • Manage SHEQ compliance within the Department through effective use of the Toolbox
    • Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status

    • Identify and assist with Risk Assessments

    • Schedule weekly compliance meetings with service provider management 
    • Conduct Compliance audits on security registers
    • Manage and compile Incident Investigation reports
    • Submit daily incident reports to Chief of Security

    • 5 years’ Mining Security experience

    • PSIRA – Grade A

    Additional qualifications:

    • ASIS PSP Certification – Physical Security Professional - would be an advantage

    Mining Manager Opencast (North West)

    Description
    PURPOSE:

    • Manage the Opencast functions and associated disciplines for the Business Unit to ensure the effective management, alignment, and attainment of objectives for all opencasts according to Samancor Chrome strategic objectives.

    • Direct the Safety and Health functions to ensure operational adherence to all relevant legislation and organisational standards to reduce business risks for non-adherence
    • Ensure the implementation of the operational environmental management program to ensure adherence to organisational objectives and legislation.

    Tfc Maintenance Supervisor (CRP) (Steelpoort)

    Description
    Purpose of the job

    • To supervise the cost-effective execution of all maintenance of plant, equipment & facilities and shutdown work ensuring high quality workmanship of artisans and contractors.

    Job Responsibilities

    Safety, Health, Environment and Quality:

    • Participate in Risk Assessments based on external and internal influences

    • Contractor Management:
    • Optimise manning plan through the use internal or contractor artisans for unplanned work
    • Create SES for unplanned work
    • Manage contractor activities on site
    • Physically accept and document acceptance of work
    • Verify quantities involved in contractor work
    • Record contractor non-conformance
    • Sign invoice, timesheet or pro-forma (Complete SAS); (Complete SES)
    • Rotables Management:
    • Decide whether item can be repaired based on initial visual inspection
    • Complete all fields on the "Damage" tag on the return item to rotable store
    • TECO original PM01 order and complete notification

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • N4 for internal candidates in Samancor Chrome only.
    • N6 Certificate external candidates
    • 4 Years relevant experience and Preferably 1 Year Supervisory experience
    • Plant Maintenance SAP experience required
    • HR SAP, MES and IMS experience will be advantageous
