    Idea Program Coach, Anzisha

    Responsibilities:

    Coaching:

    • Provide one-on-one coaching and participants through office hours across multiple time zones.
    • Support Idea Program participants in the development of models using Original Idea for Development (OID) Toolkit, Business Model Canvas (BMC), prototyping and MVP development.
    • Guide participants in identifying and solving challenges and obstacles they encounter in their entrepreneurial journeys and build an empathy driven relationship with the entrepreneurs.

    Program Development and Project Management

    • Own and drive program initiatives, including operations and administration, end-to-end, efficiently and precisely.
    • Conceptualize and develop services, tactics and other initiatives that support program participants.
    • Organize and lead online learning sessions for program participants.

    Tracking & Reporting:

    • Work closely with the Institutional Learning team to drive data collection.
    • Gather comprehensive, timely and accurate data throughout all initiatives.
    • Provide reports on participants' progress and performance within the program assessing it against the learning outcomes.

    Collaboration:

    • Actively contribute to wider team goals outside of core stream of work.
    • Work closely with other program staff, volunteers, and partners to ensure the alignment and synergy of our efforts.

    Key Skills and Competencies: 

    • Coaching: Proven experience as an entrepreneur, business consultant, or coach, with a strong understanding of entrepreneurship principles.
    • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to help entrepreneurs identify and overcome business challenges.
    • Leadership: Inspirational leadership style, with a focus on nurturing entrepreneurial talent and fostering a growth mindset.
    • Tech-Savviness: Proficiency in using online platforms for learning management, communication, and project tracking.
    • Empathy: Ability to understand and relate to the unique challenges of young entrepreneurs, offering support that’s both strategic and empathetic.

    Preferred Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, entrepreneurship, or a related field (master's degree is a plus)
    • 5 Years of experience in sector-focused entrepreneurship programs or venture accelerator programs.
    • Experience working with diverse participants across different sectors and regions.
    • Data-driven decision-making based on measurable goals or KPIs,
    • Familiarity with asynchronous learning models, online facilitation, and peer-to-peer learning environments.
    • Spanish and Portuguese speakers will be given preference.

    Data and Research Associate

    Position Overview

    • In order to meet its bold mission of transforming the continent, ALA must maintain a reliable database of information about its alumni and about its impact. ALA uses the Salesforce CRM system to manage all alumni and impact data.
    • The Data and Research Associate will work in the Institutional Learning team to help with a range of data capture tasks to ensure that the database is kept up to date. We are looking for a dedicated and focused individual with excellent attention to detail.
    • The tasks in this role are repetitive and therefore we seek a candidate who is resilient, enjoys working with data and is committed to “getting it right”. This is a 3-month contract, working 100 hours per month, with the possibility of a further 3 to 6-month extension.
    • They can work remotely provided they have reliable access to good quality internet or can choose to work fully or partly from ALA’s campus in Honeydew.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Keep the Alumni Database of 1600+ alumni in Salesforce up to date. This will require taking data predominantly from publicly accessible LinkedIn profiles and capturing in Salesforce, but at times will also require desktop research and triangulating data from a variety of sources.
    • Keep the jobs and internships data of 3000+ Mastercard Foundation scholars up to date in Salesforce.
    • Perform any other ad-hoc data capture and data reconciliation tasks as may be required.

    Profile of the Ideal Candidate 

    • Self-starter who takes initiative and who can work independently with minimal oversight.
    • Exceptional attention to detail.
    • Curious about data and a desire to make sense of the story being told by the data
    • High tolerance for repetitive tasks.
    • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to thrive and maintain a positive mind-set in a fast-paced environment.
    • Previous Salesforce experience is not necessary but is an advantage.
    • Must own your own laptop and have good-quality internet access for ~ 6hr per day.
