    Project Controller - Experienced

    Your responsibilities          

    • Ensuring compliance with SOX procedures Involved in hand over of new project from proposals to operations Project controlling for PS module contracts (run by Project manager).
    • Approval of tenders by checking the as sold financials of a project within a certain threshold and ensuring regular informal contact with project managers regularly to discuss the status of their jobs.
    • Conducting formal monthly project reviews with the project manager to the steering committee and acts as a project financial partner with the project manager.
    • Responsible for looking after contracts related to production of panels and looking after projects related to the Service area of our business e.g. Service Level Agreements.
    • Reviewing hours booked to contracts and recoveries to cost centers to ensure their accuracy.
    • Applying for Bonds and Guarantees, maintenance of Guarantees registers and ensuring maintenance of complete contract files on SharePoint and good records on the SAP system.
    • Ensuring compliance with governance and reporting regulations, including International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and that invoicing is done accurately and timeously on all contracts.
    • Following up on debtors and assist with debtor related queries.
    • Performing CPA calculations. Must have an in-depth knowledge of how to calculate the CPA on contracts and invoice.
    • Having an in-depth knowledge of the import shipping documents to be able to invoice the foreign parts of the contract and responsible to perform month end reconciliations and report to the business unit controller.
    • Monitoring of sales order integrity for correct data parameters e.g., order type, distribution channel, salesman etc. and ensuring that the monthly update of planned costs and estimates to complete and monitor & reports on overdue milestone & completion billing.
    • Monitoring & managing project cashflows monthly monitoring & reporting on contract risks & opportunities.
    • Implementing an effective contract / sales order close out process including setting the project to close off related production orders, clearing o/s commitments etc.

    Your background             

    • A bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting or commerce field is required.
    • Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience in project controlling is preferred.
    • SD (Sales & Distribution) and PS (Project systems) module experience in SAP is required.
    • Must be able to work under pressure as there are month end deadlines to be met.
    • Should be able to work with different stakeholders at different levels of authority.
    • Analytical skills are required
    • Working with large volumes of projects/sales order
    • Microsoft Excel skills (Intermediate), Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word.
    • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.

    Sales Specialist

    Your responsibilities:

    • Calling on both International and Local EPCs with the ability to travel within Africa for the assigned Regions of Responsibility.
    • Selling products/systems/services to customers, focusing on volume, product mix and profitability targets for assigned Business Units/Product Groups.
    • Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs, promote customer understanding of full product/systems/ services offering, and align to provide a solution. Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
    • Working closely with Country Sales colleagues within assigned region on business Strategies and EPC relationships.
    • Preparing sales plans using company tools. Performing regular status reviews and proposes recovery plan(s) in cases of potential order shortfalls.
    • Creating added value for the customer and Hitachi Energy to ensure the successful outcome of transactions, contracts, and proposals by using effective sales techniques. Communicating details in accordance with Hitachi Energy’s offering and strategy (delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions).
    • Ensuring efficient marketing activities and value proposition to customers.
    • Identifies and drives the development of new market opportunities in the designated market and ensures know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
    • Managing administrative procedures in sales processes and supporting collection and project management activities when needed.
    • Preparing offers in coordination with the bid and proposal department and/or the Marketing Manager. Ensuring appropriate technical and financial aspects of offers, including prices and trading conditions.

    Your background

    • Bachelor's degree in Electric or Electronic Engineering.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in customer relationship building business development and sales in Power Grids line of business.
    • Proven track record of sales of projects and products.
    • Good understanding of the EPC landscape in Southern Africa.
    • ECSA Professional registration is desirable.

    Digital & Transformer Service Manager

    Your responsibilities:

    • Drives implementation of the Digital & Service strategy and ensures corresponding plans are implemented consistently in the Service organization leveraging on the synergies across BU and GPG. Participates in the definition and follow-up of strategic plans aiming to ensure a profitable growth of the local service business including marketing, product development, supply chain, OpEx and securing competencies and resources.
    • Drives, implements, reports and monitors performance targets as part of the local unit P&L (OPQ, OTD, CCRP’s, Orders, revenue, productivity, investments, customer satisfaction, operational excellence, etc.). Service delivery: Runs the day-to-day Service business to ensure profitable growth and improvement of Ser-vice productivity. Implements agreed delivery and performance standards to ensure consistency in quality and customer satisfaction.
    • Executes the global service and support the sales channel strategy within the local unit. Builds sustainable customer relationships to ensure local client growth, satisfaction, and retention together with Sales. Supports Sales resources in customer meetings. Drives consistent development of processes and practices based on customer feedback, Net Promoter Score (NPS).
    • Invests in improving the quality of existing Digital & Transformer Service products and in developing new Service solutions to expand the portfolio in line with global guideline and market demand. Full P&L accountability - Monthly, Quarterly and Yearly business results in terms of achieving target Profitability and Order received
    • Is responsible for health and safety of the local Digital & Transformer Service Unit; People leadership and development: Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guides, motivates, develops and retain direct and indirect subordinates. Improves service availability, pro-vides training, and develops capabilities and competencies.

    Your background            

    • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering along with business administration, or a related field is often preferred. Advanced degrees (such as an MBA) can be advantageous.
    • Relevant experience of 10 to 12 years in Engineering combined with commercial competence, which you have supplemented with experience in production, operations and/or marketing & sales.
    • Knowledge and experience on servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and repairing transformers or others industrial/technical products, as well as transformer digitalization, condition assessment and fleet management will be considered
    • Strong business acumen, and a results-oriented and proactive personality are other crucial qualities of yours. You know how to market your unit’s needed investments, as well as propose new ideas to serve our customers profitably.
    • Strong leadership and ambition for the company's growth and strong customer focus (internal and external).
    • Proficiency in both spoken & written in English language is required.
    • Be willing to travel ~ 20% of her/his time, overseas and domestic travels.
