Requirements:

• Registered Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing (SANC).
• Experience in all clinical procedures performed in a theatre/scrub environment.
• required to work shifts when required in accordance with the unit needs.
• Ensure that assessments of all relevant clinical procedures and management of risks are met.
• Stock management.
• To identify, report, investigate and address near-misses and adverse events.
• Sound knowledge of the Scientific Nursing Process and BCA bundles.
• A good understanding and application of patient care and unit management.
• Builds and maintains relationships to achieve goals.
• Responsible for the necessary outputs of team.

Key Outputs

• Provides unit management support by maintaining quality management, performance management and people management practices.
• Delivers comprehensive and quality patient care to deliver the needs of patient.
• Prevents, reports and manages medico-legal risks. Conducts comprehensive patient care audits.
• Ensure that patient records and registers are in accordance to legal requirements.
• Identify professional development in accordance to (CPD) needs.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Good leadership abilities and be the role model.
• Ability to do decision making and problem solving on the ground in line with Company policies .
• Knowledge transfer be holistic learner support to learners and new employees.
• Well organised and planning to contribute to meeting objectives.
