Senior Engineer, Chemistry

(South Africa cluster) will monitor the day-to-day activities of the chemical regime of all the sites to ensure all analysis, testing, inspections, and calibrations in the laboratory are carried out as planned and all the plant parameters related to plant chemistry are maintained within limits to ensure compliance with NOMAC’s quality standards, work instructions and HSE procedures.

Who will fit:

• 7-10 years' experience in a Laboratory function within a reputable Plant within the power and water desalination.
• Bachelors degree in Engineering Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
• South African

Job Description

Senior Engineer, Electrical PV

(South Africa cluster) will conduct design review of power plants (majority renewable technologies, dominantly PV and CSP) and manage the communication with stake holders, including development of necessary strategies for preventive/predictive maintenance, special tools for new build plants in accordance to Owner Technical specifications, prudent international utility standards, quality standards to ensure plant availability, maintainability, and equipment reliability as per associated contracts. Main deliverable to this role will be to enable by design building a high reliable, available, and maintainable utility plant.

Who will fit:

• 3-5 years' experience in Electrical designing and or review with specific experience in PV technology and other renewable technologies, where 2 years of experience are in PV industry (> 50 MW at least). Any on hand maintenance experience will be added advantage.
• A Bachelor’s degree holder in Electrical Engineering.
• South African
• national is preferred.

• Practical experience and design aspects of electrical engineering
• Knowledge of reliability, availability, and maintenance aspect by design of utility plants. Tools.
• Detailed understanding of international electrical standards, preventative/predictive maintenance theory
• Project Management skills for design review stage.
• Knowledge of maintenance management methods, of predictive inspection tools and of CMMS (Computer Maintenance Management System, good knowledge of SAP Template desirable)
• Mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
• Knowledge of the operations in water desalination and power generation plants (PV&CSP, BESS technologies) and of NOMAC operations
• Strong planning, organizing, and integration skills
• Teamwork and effective collaboration skills

Job Description

Mechanical Engineer

 for Bokpoort Concentrated Solar Power Plant in Northern Cape, South Africa, who will supervise and manage the mechanical maintenance activities in the plant, including preventative and corrective maintenance, planning for shutdowns, and overhauling work activities; organizing maintenance, troubleshooting and modification of all mechanical machinery in accordance with overall maintenance plans, HSE guidelines and quality standards to ensure plant availability and machine reliability.

Who will fit:

• 5-8 years’ experience in Mechanical Maintenance activities of power plants with strong background in conventional steam turbine plants
• Bachelors of Technology in Engineering
• Detailed understanding of preventive, and predictive maintenance theory

Job Description

Field Operator

for Bokpoort, Northern Cape, will monitor the Operation parameters of the system at local and coordinate with the CCR Operator in regard to all related activities that affect operation. Responsible for safe start-up/shut down of the plant as per the Standard Operating Procedures. Quick response during emergency operation of the plant.

Who will fit:

• Technical Diploma in Engineering degree holder.
• 1-3 years’ experience in Field operations in the utilities/power plant setting.
• South African is preferred
