    Shop Assistant (The Grove) - Pretoria

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    • To provide specialist inputs and support ensuring professional and compliant designs are produced on time and to specifications within allocated timeframe, on schedule and within budget.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Tenders and Proposals
    • Completing studies as may be required to inform decisions on RFQ responses.
    • Developing procurement specifications, material, equipment, and services in line for pricing of the offers.
    • Providing technical inputs throughout tender/ proposal preparation process in conjunction with proposals team.
    • Assisting with scope clarifications and participating in review meetings with the client.
    • Contract negotiations: Participating in client negotiations to reach approval/signature stage, when required.
    • Design and Design reviews: Checking, compiling, verifying, and reviewing of the designs.
    • Perform design changes during the client review, and during the installation phases.
    • Ensure proper configuration control because of the modifications.
    • Interfacing with the various role-players in the project lifecycle such as Project Engineering, Procurement, Cost Control, SHEQ.

    • Participating in actual site testing as may be required by the project team.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • B.Sc in Electronic Engineering / Mechatronic Engineering / B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
    • Working experience of 5 to 7 years relevant experience in nuclear, or
    • N.DIP with at least 15 to 20 years’ experience in the field of C&I of which 10 years must be in nuclear.
    • Registrable as a Professional Engineer / Technologist
    • Computer literate (Outlook, Excel, Word)

    KNOWLEDGE & BEHAVIOUR COMPETENCIES

    Knowledge:

    • Knowledge of C&l codes and standards.
    • Knowledge of the OHS Act and its Regulations and how it applies.
    • Knowledge of the principles of ISO quality systems.
    • Thoroughly knowledge of the nuclear processes and systems
    • Plant systems training for a PWR.

    Skills: (What skills can be demonstrated)

    • Computer literate (Outlook, Excel, Word)
    • Able to communicate clearly.

    • Preparation of cash flow forecast and budget, and providing overdraft requirements for the financial year

    • Reconciliation of bank statement to SAGE GL and following up on variances
