    Financial Controller

    Purpose

    The purpose of the role is to deliver the Financial Operations mission statement: ”As engaged associates we are ambassadors of Governance & Control and the trusted supplier of reliable financial information” in an efficient way.

    What will be your key responsibilities?

    • Development of the Fin Ops team members and organizational design of team. Deliver Fin Ops KPI’s including cash for the site.
    • Deliver reliable financial statements, statutory accounts and tax returns. Ensure effective and efficient audit by external auditor
    • Responsible for periodical and YE closing process
    • Improve end-to-end processes and drive efficiency within the team as well as cross-functional
    • Lead and participate in several projects
    • Drive Governance & Compliance agenda on site by identifying and initiating improvements to mitigate risks and getting buy-in from business partners to further improve policies, processes and systems
    • NCFO forecasting and monitoring
    • Makes sure that the Fin. Opps team delivers all the KPI’s on AR,AP,DSO,DPO
    • SPOC and responsible for audits performed by internal audit, PWC or tax authorities
    • Job holder works closely with: Co-Pilots, CFO and Management teams on site
    • Stakeholders within all areas of the business
    • External stakeholders: PwC audit and Tax, SARS

    What are we looking for?

    • CA or CIMA qualified
    • Min. 5 years of experience in accounting / finance
    • Expert in Accounting, Financial Processes, Financial Control. knowledge on taxes

    Operator

    Working as a member of a shift team, the primary role of an Operator is to demonstrate ownership and responsibility for a set of machines, pieces of equipment and/ or processes within their working area. This includes carrying out the routine operational tasks required to achieve area targets e.g. starting-up, shutting-down, monitoring, cleaning, and carrying out basic changeovers, minor repairs, routine checks and inspections, and the use of basic ancillary equipment and computer programs.

    What are we looking for?

    • Educated to Matric level or above
    • At least 2 year experience in a factory environment
    • Fluent English verbal and written skills.
    • Experience in the FMCG / Factory Operations industry desirable.
    • Mechanical training or experience in fault-finding – beneficial

    What will be your key responsibilities?

    • Part of a shift team of up to 20 associates contribute to achievement of targets.
    • Accountable for the performance of several machines, processes, or pieces of equipment.
    • Escalate issues as appropriate, give full and accurate verbal and written handover
    • Assist to repair mechanical breakdowns using trained knowledge and experience via AM methodology
