Job Description

• We currently have the above position available at our flexible packaging printing facility and wish to invite all suitably qualified applicants to submit their details for our consideration.  
• The incumbent, reporting to the Mounting Supervisor, will be responsible for the mounting of stereo plates, onto cylinders, for the various printing machines.

Key responsibilities:

• Receive works order & prepare the cylinders, mounting tape, Flexographic plates and cleaner.
• Clean cylinders for the job with ethyl acetate
• Load cylinder into the mounting machine and lock.
• Lay the mounting tape onto the cylinder & remove the waste material.
• Take Flexographic plates & place onto the mounting tape by using the cameras on the mounting machine & line it up with the microdots to ensure the register is perfect.
• When plates are mounted, mounter will wrap up the cylinder, place it on a trolley for the printing department
• Perform safety inspections in and around working area
• Housekeeping of own working area

• The successful candidates will report to the Logistics Manager and be responsible for ensuring products are delivered to the correct destinations punctually and in excellent condition. Duties include planning efficient routes in advance, using navigation tools to identify the best journey, monitoring traffic and weather updates to adapt travel plans when necessary, and avoiding congestion or roadworks. The role also involves maintaining the vehicle’s cleanliness and safety, arranging routine servicing and reporting any mechanical concerns, collecting payments and issuing receipts where required, and adhering to all Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Map out driving routes ahead of time to determine the most expedient trip
• Maintaining the vehicle safe and clean
• Using navigation apps to determine the best route
• Pick up clients from the place and at the time they’ve requested
• Collect payments and issue receipts
• Listen to traffic and weather reports to stay up-to-date on road conditions
• Adjust the route to avoid heavy traffic or road constructions, as needed
• Schedule regular car service appointments and report any issues
• Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental Policies

Experience & Qualifications

• A minimum Grade 12 qualification
• Valid code 14 Drivers' License
• Valid forklift license
• +- 2 years manufacturing/ label printing experience
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions (Eng. & Afr.)
• Able to perform basic calculations
• Able to work independently

• We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Packer/ General Assistant. The primary responsibility of the Packer/ General Assistant is to ensure that all products are properly sorted, stacked, packed and prepared according to company guidelines and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pack according to specifications
• Ensure that all products are properly labeled and coded for accurate tracking
• Assist the operator with 
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Perform basic troubleshooting and safely clear jams to ensure optimal performance
• Inspect products for defects or damage before packaging
• Assist with inventory management and stock control
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries
• Meet productivity goals and deadlines set by the supervisor
• Communicate effectively with team members, operator and supervisor

Qualifications:

• Minimum grade 10 certificate, but a Grade 12 will be an advantage
• Previous experience in a production environment preferred
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects such as pallet jacks
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance record
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
• Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory
• Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
• Must be able to work shifts and overtime
