    Assistant Store Controller

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric
    • Diploma in Supply Chain Management / Logistics
    • SAP experience
    • Procurement experience is advantageous

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Responsible for the receipt and issue of goods and services (Checking of quantities, documentation and processing thereof)
    • Ensure items/goods received and issued are entered on SAP and that SAP is up to date
    • Monitor stock levels and notify the Technical Manager and procurement in advance for items which require replenishment.
    • Ensure that goods received are packed in the allocated areas.
    • Inspect, Control & keep record of Stores Equipment on loan to Sites/ Workshop
    • Monitor stock that has not been moving and report to Technical Manager.
    • Maintain order and good housekeeping in the stores.
    • Capable of fulfilling the role of the Store’s controller in his/ her absence.
    • Any other duty that is in the interest of the Company that is legal and lawful

    Fire and Emergency Officer

    Minimum Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • Higher Certificate in Fire Technology (NQF 5) is essential.
    • Fire Fighter 1 (SAQA/IFSAC Accredited)
    • Fire Fighter 2 (SAQA/IFSAC Accredited)
    • Hazmat response technician (SAQA/IFSA Accreditation).
    • Be in possession of a valid driver licence minimum C1 with a valid PrDP and in a position to drive such a vehicle.
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in the Fire Services as a fire fighter recognised in Fire Services.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Lead and co-ordinate all emergency incidents as per the BTT emergency response plan.
    • Provide a detailed hand over to external emergency services during an emergency.
    • Maintain operational readiness to respond to incidents.
    • Proactively and reactively attend to fire and hazmat emergencies with a view to save life, assets, and environment.
    • Conduct weekly/monthly inspections of all emergency equipment ensuring compliance to legislation.
    • Perform daily fire patrols.
    • Participate in fire related incident investigations to determine the probable cause of the incident.
    • Perform daily inspections on all hot work, confined space and working at height permits, ensuring all preventative and mitigative measures are complied with.
    • Understand and maintain the contents of the On-Site Emergency Response Plan as well as the Major Hazardous Installation requirements.
    • Direct and participate in MHI and internal drills activities.
    • Develop and present programs on fire safety and prevention topics.
    • Assist in developing strategies to mitigate fire risks.
    • Prepare and maintain clear and concise fire reporting records.
    • Monitor operational activities to ensure Major Hazard Risks are identified, prioritised and managed appropriately.
    • Ensure the Fire Permit and all related permits to emergency equipment is up to date.
    • Monitor and ensure compliance to all license, permit and authorization conditions and report all concerns/non-compliances to the RBI SHEP Manager.

    Shunter

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric with Mathematics and Science
    • 2 years’ experience in plant operations in a chemical industry
    • 2 years’ experience in shunting

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Job Specification:

    • Rail line inspections and reporting of any deviations
    • Make effective decisions during shunting activities to avoid delays
    • Correctly switch rail points and position blades to direct tankers to appropriate loading/offloading bays
    • Ensure good housekeeping/cleanliness of shunting yard
    • Ensure compliance with rail safety regulations during all shunting and tanker placement activities
    • Carry out regular shunting checks as per SOPs/WIs
    • Report all deviations/faults on rail lines
    • Weigh in and out of rail tankers and record weights on SAP
    • Shunting of rail tankers from and to siding and within the plant
    • Placing and positioning of rail tankers in correct loading/offloading bays
    • Inspect and report all deviations/faults on rail tankers
    • Placing of dispatch cards on rail tankers
    • Liaise with Rail supervisor on all shunting operations

    Maintenance Fitter

    Minimum Requirements

    • Matric
    • N3/N4
    • Fitter Trade Test Certificate
    • Minimum 3 years mechanical fitting experience
    • Experience in a petrochemical/chemical environment advantageous

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Assist in implementing and executing a planned maintenance system to fulfil daily work requirements and monitor daily achievements
    • Prioritize and schedule daily work and manage time to ensure that maximum productivity is met
    • Ensure that completed jobs are confirmed on SAP PM and all performed activities are captured on SAP PM accordingly
    • Plan, request and control spares required for work
    • Run SAP IW28 to be proactive in terms of planning for execution of those jobs
    • Perform plant walk-about with and without management
    • Ensure that all equipment is maintained in good working order according to supplier’s maintenance requirements
    • Ensure that all equipment is maintained at optimum levels to minimize downtime of equipment for product import and export
    • Complete orders timeously and ensure overall effectiveness
    • Address and eliminate re-occurring faults
    • Hold daily maintenance toolbox talks and safety meetings with the Maintenance personnel
    • Attend morning operation meetings when required to give feedback on maintenance activities and to discuss scheduled and shutdown maintenance
    • Assist in monitoring expenditure and identify means to reduce costs
    • Must be able to perform standby duties
    • Ability to work around moving machinery, at heights and in confined spaces
    • Assist with ISO and NOSA audits to ensure that standards are met
    • Prioritize breakdowns and must be done safely and in the shortest possible time
    • Adhere to the BTT ISO 9001 Quality procedures, ISO 14001 Environmental procedures and ISO 18000 Safety procedures
    • Overhaul and test P.V valves, isolation valves and relief valves
    • Any order duty that is in the interest of the company that is legal and lawful
