Key Performance Indicators:

• Preventative maintenance tasks, including: daily plant inspections, attending to job cards, inspection 1 schedules, permit sign offs.
• Breakdown maintenance: spare request, ad hoc repairs, giving feedback on system.
• Downtown maintenance
• Safety management and tool box talks.
• Work area management: maintenance of machinery and working area 
• Documentation management and reporting; loading of spares, reporting deviations, completing work permits
• Training; assisting apprentices learners training as per their Log book.

Qualification:

• Minimum: Relevant Trade N3/Technical Matric/NCV L4 withy Maths and Science.
• ideal: Fitter Trade (Section 13).

Experience:

• 3-5 years post apprentice.

Competencies/Skills:

• Technical Skills: Mechanical: Bearings, pumps, coupling, lubrication, drives, valves.
• Hydraulics-motors, cylinders and/or valves.
• ARS Welding, gas welding, brazing, cutting & heating
• Assemblies
• Need to know and do basic rigging.
• Must be computer literate
