    Insurance Administrator (Personal Long Term and Risk)

    Qualifications:

    • Matric and relevant courses
    • Solid experience working with Wealth Advisors dealing with risk benefits, claims, queries.

    Duties and experience :

    • Insurance quotes (individual life, key man, group risk, etc)
    • Insurance new business administration and processes
    • FICA and compliance requirements
    • Arranging of client medicals
    • Processing of claims
    • Life policy continuations
    • Group life experience
    • Use of life company systems
    • Admin related to changes
    • All risk company administration
    • Policy surrenders
    • MS Office experience required.

    Other:

    • Processing of death claims both from a risk and an investment point of view, and new business emanating from that

    Underground Blasting Specialist

    • Our client is seeking an experienced Underground Technical Support Specialist to provide hands-on technical support, training, and operational guidance within an underground mining environment. This role is focused on improving drilling and blasting quality, ensuring compliance with operational standards, and developing operator competence through practical, on-the-job coaching.
    • Please apply if you are immediately available for a fixed term contract and if you have worked on relevant production improvement projects.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Pattern design, drilling compliance, blast optimisation.
    • Monitor drill pattern accuracy against approved designs.
    • Verify correct hole depth, spacing, and burden.
    • Supervise charging practices and ensure stemming compliance.
    • Conduct on-the-job coaching and practical skills development for underground personnel.
    • Reinforce established training standards at the production face.
    • Assess and evaluate operator performance in real working conditions.
    • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and promote best practices in underground drilling and blasting operations.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Relevant qualification in Mining, Blasting, or a related technical field.
    • Valid Blasting Certificate (advantageous).
    • Minimum 5 years' underground mining experience, with exposure to drilling and blasting operations.
    • Previous experience in technical support, training, coaching, or supervision within an underground mining environment.
    • Sound knowledge of underground drilling, charging, and blasting practices.
    • Strong communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively underground and engage with operational teams.

    Senior Planner

    • Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Planner on a contract basis with extensive experience in the mining and minerals industry on large capital projects, including projects in remote locations and other countries, third world countries.

    Main Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that commissioning considerations are established and catered for in the project program during program baseline development.
    • Identify the critical path(s) and near critical paths in the project implementation schedule (PIS). Report slippages and gains against the baseline schedule.
    • Monitor, control and report the status of free and total float in the schedule.
    • Evaluate and integrate contractor’s and supplier’s schedules and report findings to the PM, CM and project engineer.
    • Provide input and review proposed change management time implications and document the result. Manage approved changes in the schedule.
    • Review the schedule portions of contractor’s extra work claims and prepare details for discussion and/or inclusion in any response.
    • Assist project controls to produce management reports and the monthly status reports.
    • Prepare and submit planning data for the project close out report and progressive learning (lessons learned).

    Qualifications:

    • PMI SP (Scheduling Professional)
    • AACE PSP (Planning and Scheduling Professional)

    Desirable:

    • PMI PMP (Project Management Professional)
    • CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management)

    Knowledge, skills, and experience:

    • Experience in mineral/metals/mining greenfield and brownfield would be beneficial.
    • Expert knowledge of and competence in the use of Primavera P6 and MS Project
    • Expert knowledge of MS Office 
    • Project planning experience in multi-discipline mining and minerals processing projects and studies
    • Site planning experience in multi-discipline mining and minerals processing projects and studies
    • EPC / EPCM experience in either a consulting or construction contractor environment
    • 8 - 12 years’ relevant experience considered essential to meet the demands of this position.
