    Diesel Mechanic

    • As a Diesel Mechanic, your key responsibility will be the overall maintenance and repairs of earthmoving equipment. The successful candidate should be physically and mentally fit and have a solid knowledge of basic mechanic’s tools, service and diagnostic equipment.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Conducting repair and service work both on site and in the workshop
    • Machine assessments and complete job cards
    • Provide service and customer support during field visits or dispatches
    • Tie workflow to schedule
    • Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks
    • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions
    • Produce timely and detailed service reports
    • Operate vehicle in a safe manner and use field automation systems
    • Follow all company’s filed procedures and protocols
    • Co-operate with technical team and share information across the organisation

    Minimum requirements:

    • Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
    • English literacy essential
    • Post matric qualification / N3
    • Must be a qualified earthmoving equipment mechanic or diesel mechanic (trade tested)
    • 5 years’ experience after qualification – with traceable references
    • Auto electrical will be advantageous
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Proven field service experience
    • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment
    • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedule

    Logistics Manager

    Purpose of the role:

    • We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Manager to oversee the end-to-end logistics and supply  chain operations for our cement warehousing and bricks/blocks manufacturing business. The successful candidate  will be responsible for managing transportation (both in-house and outsourced), inventory control, warehouse  coordination, and the efficient movement of materials between multiple storage locations and production facilities.  This role is based at our Inca facility and requires strong coordination across all Cape Town sites.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Transportation Management 

    • Coordinate the movement of bulk cement from the port to warehouse locations.
    • Manage company-owned tankers and liaise with third-party transport providers for deliveries and collections.
    • Schedule and monitor the dispatch of cement and finished goods (bricks and blocks) to customers and internal  sites.
    • Ensure all transportation activities comply with safety, legal, and company standards.

    Warehouse & Inventory Coordination 

    • Oversee inventory levels at all cement storage locations and maintain accurate stock records.
    • Plan and monitor debagging and tanker loading activities at the dedicated station.
    • FIFO system is followed on all products.
    • Ensure empty pallet processes are followed and maintained.
    • Ensure pallet returns records are captured and maintained.
    • Ensure efficient storage and retrieval systems across all warehouse sites.

    Logistics Planning & Reporting 

    • Develop daily/weekly logistics plans aligned with production and sales schedules.
    • Track KPIs for delivery performance, inventory turnover, transport costs, etc.
    • Generate regular reports for management on logistics performance and suggest process improvements.

    Supplier & Transporter Liaison 

    • Negotiate terms and service levels with transporters and logistics vendors.
    • Monitor transporter performance and ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.
    • Resolve any delivery or transport-related disputes or delays.

    Compliance & Risk Management 

    • Ensure all logistics operations adhere to local regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct regular risk assessments and implement controls for transport and storage safety.
    • Keep records of permits, insurance, and maintenance of the company tankers.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Proven experience (5+ years) in logistics, transport coordination, or warehouse management.
    • Knowledge of bulk cement handling and experience with tanker logistics is highly advantageous.
    • Strong understanding of inventory management and warehousing principles.
    • Excellent planning, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
    • Proficiency in logistics software, Microsoft Excel, and report generation.
    • Valid driver’s license and familiarity with Cape Town routes and regulations.
    • Ability to manage multiple sites and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management.
    • Experience in the construction materials or cement industry.
    • Exposure to fleet management systems and transport compliance procedures.

    Senior Mining Surveyor

    Purpose of the role:

    • The Senior Mining Surveyor is responsible for managing and executing all mine surveying functions to support safe and efficient mining operations. This includes GPS-based field surveys, Drone based field surveys, volumetric stockpile reporting, reconciliations, photogrammetry, mine planning support, civil construction surveys, and rehabilitation planning. The role ensures accurate spatial data, compliance with legal survey requirements, and timely delivery of high-quality survey outputs to operational and management teams.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Surveying & Data Acquisition

    • Conduct high-precision GPS, Drone and total station surveys for mining, engineering, and surface infrastructure.
    • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly production surveys to support mining operations.
    • Maintain and update mine survey control networks and benchmark systems.

    Stockpile Surveys, Volumes & Reconciliation

    • Perform stockpile surveys using GPS, drone photogrammetry, and total station.
    • Generate volumetric calculations and produce accurate daily, weekly and monthly mining and stock reports.
    • Conduct inventory reconciliations between survey volumes, plant figures, and dispatch data.
    • Ensure compliance with audit requirements for stock reporting.  

    Photogrammetry & Remote Sensing

    • Plan and execute drone flights for photogrammetry and mapping.
    • Process imagery into orthomosaics, DTM/DSM, and point clouds.
    • Integrate drone data into mine planning and geotechnical analysis.
    • Ensure drone operations comply with regulatory procedures (CAA/SACAA, etc.).

    Mine Planning & Design Support

    • Provide survey inputs for short-, medium-, and long-term mine planning.
    • Assist planning engineers with pit designs, dump designs, haul roads, and excavation limits.
    • Set out and verify blast patterns, ore boundaries, cut lines, and excavation limits.
    • Monitor pit walls, slopes, and stability using survey data.

    Civil Engineering Survey Work

    • Conduct surveys for civil construction, such as haul roads, stormwater structures, foundations, platforms, pipelines, and plant expansions.
    • Provide setting-out for contractors and verify as-built data.
    • Maintain accurate as-built documentation for project completion.

    Environmental & Rehabilitation Planning

    • Produce rehabilitation survey plans and track progress of rehab areas.
    • Support environmental compliance by providing accurate survey data for land disturbance, topsoil management, and closure planning.
    • Monitor and report on rehabilitated landform stability and drainage compliance.

    Reporting & Compliance

    • Prepare survey reports, maps, plans, section drawings, and 3D models.
    • Ensure compliance with mine standards, legal survey specifications, and health & safety rules.
    • Maintain digital and hard-copy survey records in accordance with regulatory requirements.
    • Supervise and mentor junior surveyors and survey assistants.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • National Diploma or Degree in Mine Surveying, Geomatics, or related field.
    • Government Mine Surveyor Certificate (advantage or required, depending on operation).
    • Minimum 5–8 years’ mining surveying experience, ideally in open pit or underground mines.
    • Experience with drones/UAVs for mining applications.
    • Valid SACNASP, IMSSA, or PLATO registration (advantage).
    • Valid driver’s licence.

    Skills and Competencies:

    • Advanced GPS, GNSS, and total station proficiency.
    • Strong knowledge of photogrammetry and drone survey processing (Pix4D, Agisoft, etc.).
    • Proficient in mining software: Surpac, Vulcan, MinePlan, Datamine, or similar.
    • High competence in AutoCAD/Civil 3D or equivalent.
    • Excellent analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
    • Strong communication and ability to work cross-functionally with mining, geology, engineering, and environmental teams.
    • Ability to lead and mentor survey teams.

    Key Deliverables/ KPIs:

    • Accurate and timely weekly & monthly survey volumes and stock reports.
    • Zero survey-related errors affecting production or compliance.
    • Updated survey control networks and mine plans.
    • Quality drone maps and photogrammetry outputs delivered on schedule. 
    • Effective support for mine planning and engineering.
    • Compliance with legal survey requirements and safety standards.

    Assistant Process Manager

    Purpose of the role:

    • To maintain acceptable efficiency standards of implementing standards and efficiencies in the Milling Plant.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Reporting and optimizing processes and maintaining process and implement changes.
    • Responsible and manages and advise on recommendations for the mill team and support staff.
    • Responsible for process continuous improvement plans based on advising the business to improve development and design of the manufacturing process.

    Lab Tester

    Purpose of the role:

    • To provide adequate support to the production department through analysis of raw material, in-process, and final product.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that all tasks are performed safely.
    • Analysis of all raw material, in-process, and final product samples submitted to the lab.
    • Ensure accurate and precise analysis of all samples.
    • Calibration and verification of test and support equipment.
    • Handling storage and shipment of test samples and process control samples.
    • Retrieve, record in LIMS, and process data of samples analysed to release for use or place On Hold.
