    Communications Coordinator

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
    • 5+ years of experience implementing cross-department communications
    • A verifiable track record of successful communication campaign implementation
    • Proven ability to build effective relationships with a wide range of internal audiences
    • Expert interpersonal skills, working cross functionally with team members to ensure an efficient information flow
    • Understanding of various channels of internal communication (email, newsletters)
    • Experience, including drafting and publishing of written and audio-visual content across social media platforms (fully able to use LinkedIn, Insta, Facebook, X, Canva)
    • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and PowerPoint
    • Experience working on an internal intranet platform
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

    • NGO/Healthcare sector information dissemination
    • Ability to record and edit short audio/video clips for social media platforms
    • High level attention to detail
    • Strong organisational skills and good planning
    • Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, so familiarity with project management software

    Responsibilities:

    Internal communications

    • Ensuring the organisation’s people news is communicated in a regular, considered, effective and engaging way
    • Manage and create engaging content for the internal communications channels (intranet, email, in-person events, virtual events and reports)
    • Ensure internal communication is considered and handled in a sensitive and timely fashion linked to key external announcements
    • Provide clear and effective communication in response to crisis or emergency situations to reassure and guide staff
    • Send out company-wide email communication as requested by staff and management
    • Produce Quarterly staff newsletter
    • Manage the purchase of and distribution of branded merchandise
    • Manage the company intranet platform

    External communications

    • Fielding and directing press enquiries
    • Staying up to date with the latest HIV news, as well as that for related health conditions
    • Contributing to briefings, sending out recaps regarding policy changes and updates
    • Collaborating with project staff on an as needed basis when communication needs arise that may require expert consultation and assistance
    • Acting as the communications contact point for site specific trials to ensure accuracy of organisation information
    • Collaborate with stakeholders on marketing campaigns, webinars, and content creation (blog, guides, annual reports, and video)
    • Ensure content accuracy and accessibility of information on the website

    Event Management

    • Key point person for planning events
    • Invitations and attendance tracking
    • Support for site events as requested
    • Responsible for planning, sourcing suppliers, budget, procurement and venue for company events

    Human Resource Business Partner

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Industrial Psychology, or related field
    • Postgraduate HR qualification will be an advantage
    • Minimum of 5 years’ HR generalist or HRBP experience, preferably within NGO, healthcare, clinical research, or pharmaceutical environments
    • Strong knowledge of South African labour legislation
    • Proven ability to work with multidisciplinary teams (clinicians, researchers, field staff, support services)
    • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet)
    • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)
    • Valid Driver’s License and own transport

    • Experience working with donor-funded or grant-funded projects (advantageous)

    Responsibilities:

    Strategic HR Partnering & Consulting

    • Partner with leadership and management to align HR strategies with organizational and research objectives
    • Provide proactive HR advice on workforce planning, organizational design, and change management
    • Support line managers with people-related risk management and decision-making
    • Contribute to HR policies, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Provide EE input into workforce planning and organisational design

    Recruitment & Workforce Planning

    • Manage end-of-the-end recruitment processes for research, clinical, and support roles
    • Support workforce planning in line with project funding, donor requirements, and operational needs
    • Partner with hiring managers to ensure timely, compliant, and quality appointments
    • Support onboarding and induction to enable early productivity and retention

    Training, Learning & Development

    • Identify organizational and individual training needs through skills audits and performance data
    • Coordinate and support training, development, and capacity-building initiatives
    • Support performance management and career development processes
    • Promote a culture of continuous learning and skills transfer within teams

    Employee Relations & Compliance

    • Support and advise on disciplinary processes, grievances, and poor performance cases
    • Ensure compliance with labour legislation, organizational policies, and donor requirements
    • Support managers with fair, consistent, and legally sound employee relations practices
    • Promote positive employee engagement, wellness, and ethical conduct

    HR Administration & Payroll Support

    • Provide oversight and support to payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance
    • Manage HR administration, employee records, contracts and HR systems
    • Support leave management, timesheets, and HR reporting requirements
    • Ensure accurate HR data for audits, reporting and organizational decision-making
