You’ll need to bring: 

• M.Sc/B.Sc Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Systems;
• 3 - 5 years of software development experience;
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal;
• APIs: REST, GraphQL;
• DB: RDBMS (SqlServer/Oracle / PostgreSQL and Non-RDMBS (MongoDB);
• Monitoring: Dynatrace or similar;
• Virtualization/Cloud: Docker, K8s;
• AWS Secrets Management;
• Architecture: Microservices;

• The Clinical Scientist in the Digital Health Sciences team will provide scientific consultation to internal and external stakeholders on the use of eCOA and other digital health technologies, including eConsent and sensors and wearables, in clinical trials. The Clinical Scientist will review clinical study protocols from prospective and current customers to identify scientific and technological requirements of the clinical trial and provide advice on solution design and development. The Clinical Scientist will support pre-sales, capabilities, bid defense, requirement gathering, and design meetings. Additionally, the Clinical Scientist will provide scientific input to product development to ensure that new capabilities address the scientific requirements of future implementations, and work on marketing initiatives. The Clinical Scientist will provide consultation services through special client or internal projects and research initiatives.

As part of our team, your main responsibilities will: 

• Support the commercial team by analysing study protocols and other relevant study documents, documenting study requirements and presenting scientific content in client meetings.
• Advise technical, operations, and client teams on the development of eCOA solutions to ensuring the solution design meets the clinical trial objectives.
• Provide consultation services in the form of special projects on client-specific scientific requests or external initiatives.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the most recent industry best practices and regulatory requirements for clinical outcome assessments (COA).
• Stay on the leading edge of eCOA and digital health technologies through participation in industry forums and working groups, and through collaboration with clients, Key Opinion Leaders.
• Develop thought leadership materials and relevant scientific and research content to demonstrate the company’s scientific expertise internally and externally.
• Present and promote Signant Health in the industry, including active participation in industry forums, conferences, presentations, webinars and publications on selected topics.
• Manage time across multiple concurrent projects.
• Develop training and marketing materials.

You’ll need to bring:

Essential:

• Advanced degree (PhD preferable) in Psychology.
• 1-3 years’ solid experience in Neurology, preferably with specific expertise in Parkinson’s disease.
• In-depth understanding of clinical research and the drug development cycle.
• Knowledge of clinical outcome assessments (COA) and related science and/or eConsent, EDC, sensors/wearables.
• Proven ability to multitasking, time management and task-oriented performance; able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Business driven and business growth savvy.
• Familiar with the bridge between technology and science in digital health technologies for clinical trials.

Platform Development and Maintenance:

• Design and implement features for the IDP, ensuring it aligns with our "IDP as a Product" vision.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Pulumi, Terraform, and Groovy for Jenkins.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline deployment processes.

Business Continuity and Operations:

• Ensure high availability and reliability of critical tools and services such as Jenkins, Kafka, MongoDB, ArgoCD, Kubernetes (K8s), and CDN.
• Proactively monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve platform-related issues to minimize downtime and improve performance.

DevOps and Automation:

• Lead efforts to integrate and optimize tools such as Azure AD, Okta, Artifactory, SonarQube, Snyk, Renovate, and Backstage.

Documentation and Enablement:

• Contribute to and maintain comprehensive documentation for pipelines, deployment strategies, and platform features.
• Provide guidance and support to development teams, ensuring they can fully leverage the platform's capabilities.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Work closely with engineering teams to gather requirements and design scalable solutions.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to present platform status, roadmap updates, and demos of new features.

Cost Optimization and Scalability:

• Identify opportunities for cost savings and implement solutions that improve efficiency without compromising quality.
• Plan for future scalability of platform services as the organization grows.

Skill Requirements:

Technical Skills:

• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools: Pulumi, Terraform, and Groovy for Jenkins.
• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes (K8s), including cluster management and deployment strategies.
• Proficiency in AWS and Azure AD, with a focus on scalable architecture design.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
• Familiarity with Kafka, MongoDB, and CDNs in high-performance production environments.
• Strong programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, Go, or Bash).
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools, such as Incinga or similar.
