    Group Visual Merchandiser: Homeware

    The main responsibility of this position is the integration of homeware into shelving and installations, bathroom, linen, and kitchen areas. Ensuring stock is correctly merchandised to drive sales and maximize shopper experience.

    This role will be based at our Greenpoint office.

    Main accountabilities:

    • Designing the layout and display of carpet installations and homeware shelves, linen, bathroom, and kitchen areas ensuring that newness is showcased and sending out communication to stores for rollout. Updated according to directive
    • Responsible for managing and compiling of the Homeware Lookbook seasonally.
    • Required to conceptualize all furniture and homeware installations and oversee costing, production and installation of designs within the store. Signage for installations to be implemented simultaneously. Sketchup models to be presented of installations for directors to sign off.
    • Works with the Group VM: Stylist to ensure awareness of ranges/newness that needs to be integrated into lifestyles.
    • Provide monthly feedback on homeware integration of all stores by means of video conferencing/photos/in-store visits etc.

    Skills/ competencies:

    • An Interior Décor or Design Diploma/ Retail/ fashion/ Design
    • Minimum 5 years work experience in the décor retail industry.
    • Excellent technical knowledge of design software e.g., Sketchup
    • Passion for décor, design, and lifestyle trends with ability to conceptualize installations, integrate homeware in line with our brand.
    • The ability to interpret briefs and demonstrate creativity in generating creative concepts, as well communicating directives to in-store VM’s to ensure correct role out.
    • Strong creative problem-solving skills and proven ability to show initiative. The position requires great attention to detail and conceptual and creative ability.
    • Good knowledge of company and merchandising policies and procedures in retail environment
    • Strong administrative skills, excellent product knowledge and passion for Weylandts products.
    • Valid driver’s license with own reliable transport. Travel on a national basis

    Account Director - Cape Town

    The Account Director will be responsible for the full cycle from creating briefs that align to the business strategy as well as execution, activation and analysing the outcome for continuous improvement. A key focus of the role will be ensuring successful project delivery. The ideal candidate has great understanding of marketing and advertising, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve objectives.

    This position will be based in Greenpoint. 

     Main Responsibilities:

    • Have a clear understanding of operational requirements and execute on briefs to agreed strategy and business timelines.
    • Continuously provide input into the strategic direction & ensure any directional changes are communicated to relevant stakeholders.
    • Develop and manage project plans & timelines, ensuring that deliverables are completed on time and within budget. Identify potential issues, and proactively implement solutions to meet project objectives.
    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of all marketing campaigns.
    • Investigate and present cost effective/ innovative methods to deliver campaigns and track and measure these over the financial year.
    • Evaluate project performance and provide regular status updates to relevant stakeholders. Present informative reports as required.
    • Foster effective communication with external agencies (e.g., Lookbook & Flume) to ensure timely briefings, keep teams informed of updates, and schedule necessary meetings.
    • Manage and maintain the Marketing calendar, ensuring the efficient rollout of the Marketing strategy with consistent brand messaging.
    • Oversee the marketing team in briefing suppliers, requesting quotes, and managing administrative tasks related to content production.
    • Conduct regular team meetings to discuss current projects.
    • Lead the recruitment process for new personnel within the Marketing team.
    • Oversee the website function with a focus on ecommerce, customer, and business objectives.
    • Cross collaboration with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment.

     Functional Skills:

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing/ advertising
    • Proven 5 – 7 years’ experience in account management or project management, in an advertising or marketing agency
    • Strong understanding of marketing principles and industry trends
