    Ops Spec: BU Accounting

    Core Description

    • To coordinate the budgeting process, prepare and monitor the actual vs. budget. Co-ordinate and consolidate information for all statutory reporting. Provide input into the analysis of financial information to allow the business unit to make well-informed decisions to ensure financial sustainability.

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Provide input in developing the annual budget plan for the business in consultation with key business unit stakeholders and line management, in accordance with BCX guidelines
    • Oversee and coordinate the circulation of budget guidelines and templates
    • Oversee and consolidate budget submissions received and address queries raised by line management
    • Coordinate and consolidate inputs for the preparation of the business unit budget
    • Analyse potential over or under spending variances and submit report to supervisor for further action to be taken.
    • Review the quality and accuracy of monthly variance report submissions received, prepare reallocation journals for posting to the GL
    • Support accounts payable and receivable on management of payment and receipts for effective and efficient working capital management
    • Support and ensure the management of fixed assets within business units
    • Support business in the management of inventory and proper accounting of inventory to optimal working capital management
    • Prepare and analyse financial information and financial statistics for monthly and quarterly financial reporting
    • Facilitate and check the preparation and distribution of valid, accurate and complete reports on project spending.

    Accounting Officer: Creditors

    Core Description

    • Responsible to ensure that the assigned General Ledger (GL) accounts are maintained and reconciled in an efficient and effective manner, reporting directly to the Financial Controller – General Ledger & FI Journals.

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Match and process supplier invoices.
    • Resolve reconciling items by liaising with supplier and internal staff.
    • Maintain and reconcile supplier statements with relevant accounting records.
    • Prepare payment requisitions according to payment terms and forward remittance advices to suppliers.

    Core Description

    • A Tech Officer Customer Engineer plays a crucial role in providing technical support and assistance to users within an organization or customers of a product or service. 
    • The incumbent provides service activities on company systems, including installation, discontinuance, relocation, diagnosis, emergency repair etc. while minimising equipment downtime and ensuring client satisfaction on various accounts.

    Key Deliverables / Primary Functions

    • Provide frontline technical support to end-users via various channels such as phone, email, chat, or in-person. Assist users with troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and other IT-related issues.
    • Diagnose and resolve technical problems reported by users in a timely and efficient manner. This may involve guiding users through step-by-step solutions, performing remote troubleshooting, or escalating issues to higher-level support teams when necessary.
    • Log and track all support requests using a ticketing system or help desk software. Ensure accurate documentation of issues, resolutions, and communication with users for future reference and reporting purposes.
    • Escalate unresolved issues or complex technical problems to higher-level support teams, system administrators, or software vendors as per established escalation procedures. Follow up on escalated cases to ensure timely resolution and user satisfaction.
    • Monitor systems, networks, and applications for potential issues or performance degradation. Proactively identify and address emerging problems before they impact end-users or business operations.
    • Participate in team meetings, performance reviews, and training programs to enhance technical skills, customer service abilities, and overall effectiveness as a help desk consultant. Contribute ideas for process improvements and service enhancements.
    • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and service level agreements (SLAs) governing help desk operations. Ensure compliance with IT security policies, data privacy regulations, and industry standards.
