Job Description

• We currently have the above position available at our flexible packaging printing facility and wish to invite all suitably qualified applicants to submit their details for our consideration.

Key responsibilities:

• Set up slitting job according to customer specifications and standard operating procedures
• Ability to lift raw materials and finished product
• Operate a slitting machine
• Complete Prism time sheets and quality control specifications and line clearance
• Complete quality inspection sheets – information needs to be recorded as per spec book and quality measured according to the standard
• Ensure all standards are maintained (client requirements; standard operating procedures, etc)
• Ensure department is fully compliant with BRC requirements
• Ensure pallet control label is on pallet before moving to despatch

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Slitting Operator within the Flexible Packaging industry
• Knowledge and understanding of Flexible Packaging Manufacturing Process advantageous
• Good written and verbal skills
• Good problem-solving, planning and organizing skills

To be considered for this position, you will need to meet the following minimum requirements:

• A minimum Grade 10 qualification OR a minimum of 3 year’s experience within a manufacturing or Slitting environment.
• Willing to work shifts
• Good numeracy and literacy acumen
• Good written and verbal skills
• Attention to detail
• Good visual perception and colour vision
• Good problem-solving, planning and organising skills
• Enthusiastic, committed and eager team-player
