    Production Technician- Industrial Energy and Technology

    Take ownership for productivity.

    As a Production Technician, you will perform the daily operations of plants to ensure reliability and consistency on the production line including Service Shops. Providing technical assistance in that specific manufacturing area for the development of new processes/products (testing of new equipment, training and process development).

    As a Production Technician, you will be responsible for:

    • Operating automated Test Jigs.
    • Assembling, welding, marking, testing, cleaning, and packaging of products.
    • Assisting with stock management and keeping.
    • Assisting with dispatching of products.
    • Acting as a technical consultant in a specific manufacturing area (welding, heat treat, machining, general manufacturing).
    • General Housekeeping of the work area.
    • Acting as a liaison for vendors (ordering and testing of supplies) as required.

    To be successful in this role you will:

    • Have a High School diploma or equivalent level of education.
    • Have at least 3 years’ experience as a Production Technician. 
    • Demonstrate excellent experience within a production environment.
    • Be a good team player and enjoy collaborating with others.

    Storekeeper - Industrial Energy and Technology

    Partner with the best

    As a Storekeeper you will be the focal point between the Inventory Teams and Production Teams to ensure we are aligned with production demands and changes. You will also oversee the day-to-day administration of task management within the department.

    As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for:

    • Performing tasks related to receiving, warehousing and releasing materials into production.
    • Receiving inbound material from outside suppliers and other Baker Hughes plants and field locations.
    • Coordinating goods in deliveries in line with production demands.
    • Ensuring quality assurance on goods received.
    • Managing the cycle count schedule, issuing tasks to appropriate owners and collating count statistics. Also tracking the KPI data.
    • Assisting with the investigation/resolution of stock discrepancies.
    • Overseeing out internal logistical activities to ensure materials are available in line with production demands.
    • Identifying efficiency improvements and implementing change within our processes.
    • Attending planning and production meetings to align production requirements with material demand/availability.

    To be successful in this role you will:

    • At least 5 years’ experience as an Inventory Officer (preferably  in a production environment).
    • Have proven experience in a similar role and a good understanding of manufacturing processes.
    • Have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with situations where only limited procedures exist.
    • Have previous experience identifying and implementing process improvements.

    Mechatronic/ Electronic Design Engineer- Industrial & Energy Technology (IET)

    As Mechatronic/electronic Engineer at Baker Hughes, you will be involved with electronic hardware used in the manufacturing of wireless sensors. You’ll unite cross-functional teams to connect, share knowledge, innovate and to develop improvements.

    As a Mechatronic/electronic Engineer, you will be responsible for:

    • Deploying and maintaining production test systems (electronic hardware & software) is an integral part of the role.
    • You will also be exposed to robotics, data systems, and 3D printing projects.
    • Executing on the product design and validation of industrial grade electrical systems.
    • Preparing and presenting technical data to internal stakeholders.
    • Documenting and communicating results of technical data generated.
    • Assuring of proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures.

    To be successful in this role you will:

    • Have a bachelor’s degree in Mechatronic/Electronic (B.Eng. or BSc would be preferable)
    • Have at least 5 years’ experience as a Mechatronic/ electronic Engineer in a production environment.
    • Have experience at electronic product design and lifecycle.
    • Have good knowledge of coding languages such as C & C#.
    • Proven experience in performing mechanical design using Autodesk Inventor (or similar).
    • Have experience with mixed signal PCB design and layout (Altium Design or similar)
    • Knowledge of using an ERP system (SAP) in a production environment is required.
    • Have familiarity with hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, bus analyzers, digital multimeters, etc.
    • Have good interpersonal, leadership, excellent oral and written communication skills.
