    Survey Manager, D4, KHT066/26GS

    The role:

    • To manage and control all Survey functions at the operation. Production accounting and the supply of management information. Maintenance of statutory plans and legal compliance.

    Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Accountable for the operation’s survey activities
    • Ensure legal compliance, as per DMRE MHSA Act 29 of 1996, as well as Seriti standards and requirements
    • Ensure governance and systems are in place with regards to production accounting
    • Carries out responsibilities in terms of HSEC requirements
    • Contractor Management
    • Assist with the design of the mine plan
    • Volumetric reconciliations
    • Water and rehabilitation measuring with accounting provision
    • Update and maintenance of statutory plans
    • Validating master database and Database management
    • Compilation of DTM model
    • Validate "control plans"
    • People Management
    • Ability to work with and report in a cross-functional team structure
    • Teamwork and collaboration skills for both internal and external stakeholders

    Requirements:

    • National Diploma / National Higher Diploma / BTech / BSc in Mine Surveying / Minerals Surveying (NQF Level 7)
    • Mine Surveyors Certificate of Competency (MSCoC) – Government Ticket
    • Professional member registration (SAGC – South African Geomatics Council and/or PLATO – Professional Land and Technical Survey Organisation)
    • Member of Institute of Mine Surveyors of Southern Africa (IMSSA)
    • Minimum 4 years working experience as Section Surveyor on mining operations
    • Broad knowledge of relevant coal mining methods
    • Technical knowledge of relevant legislation
    • Technical knowledge of survey software with proven CAD computer skills and modelling Database management principles
    • Knowledge and understanding of surveying principles
    • Computer literacy in MS Office & SAP
    • Valid driver’s license
    • In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness

    Legal Manager, E1, Head Office

    The role:

    • The purpose of the role is to provide Seriti with managerial and legal support and strategic legal and commercial advice to ensure legal risks are identified, mitigated and managed in accordance with the strategy and commercial objectives of Seriti.
    • To lead and manage the Company's legal function by providing strategic legal advice, ensuring legal compliance, mitigating legal risk, and supporting commercial objectives.
    • The incumbent is accountable for developing and implementing legal frameworks, governance standards, and legal strategies that protect the Company's interests while enabling sustainable business growth.

    Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Develop and execute the Group Legal Strategy aligned to Seriti's strategic objectives and business priorities
    • Act as the principal legal advisor to Executive Management on strategic, commercial, environmental, mining and regulatory matters
    • Establish, implement and maintain legal governance frameworks, policies, standards and procedures across the Group
    • Provide proactive legal guidance on emerging legislation, regulatory developments and industry trends
    • Lead and support strategic legal projects and initiatives across Seriti
    • Prepare and present legal reports to Executive and Governance structures as required
    • Identify, assess and manage legal risks affecting Seriti and provide strategic advice on appropriate mitigation measures
    • Develop and maintain legal risk management frameworks and controls
    • Monitor compliance with applicable legislation, regulations and governance requirements
    • Lead the drafting, review, negotiation and approval of complex commercial agreements and legal documentation
    • Provide legal support for mergers, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures and strategic partnerships
    • Ensure appropriate contractual protections are incorporated into all material business agreements
    • Advise procurement, operations, projects and corporate functions on contractual and commercial matters
    • Provide oversight and management of litigation, arbitration, mediation and dispute resolution matters
    • Manage and direct external legal counsel and specialist legal advisors
    • Develop dispute resolution and litigation strategies that minimise legal, financial and reputational risk
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable legal, regulatory and statutory requirements
    • Interpret legislation and provide practical guidance to the business on implementation requirements
    • Support engagement with regulators, government authorities and industry bodies as required
    • Support and strengthen the implementation of corporate governance frameworks across Seriti
    • Lead and manage the Legal and Compliance Function to ensure effective delivery of legal services

    Requirements:

    • BA / BCom (or similar undergraduate degree) LLB
    • Minimum 8 years’ experience post qualification as legal practitioner in a law firm or corporate legal department 
    • Commercial Law experience and dealing with large corporate entities and government departments
    • Knowledge of relevant South African Environmental Law and mining legislation
    • Knowledge of Corporate Governance Processes
    • Knowledge of the litigation/arbitration processes
    • Knowledge and understanding of Contract Law
    • A deep understanding of Mining Industry in South Africa
    • Maintenance of professional admissions
    • Computer literacy (MS Office Suite)
    • Valid driver’s license
    • In possession or able to obtain a valid Certificate of Fitness

    Legal Adviser, D1, Head Office

    The role:

    • Responsible for providing Seriti with independent legal support and advice to ensure legal risks are identified and managed in accordance with the strategy and commercial objectives of Seriti.

    Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Provide professional, independent and accurate legal advice to business stakeholders on commercial, contractual, regulatory and operational matters
    • Advise functional clients on strategic and complex commercial issues, dispute resolution and legal implications of business decisions
    • Support the Legal Manager in managing Seriti’s Material Legal Risks and implementing appropriate mitigation measures
    • Identify legal risks impacting the business and provide recommendations to manage and reduce exposure
    • Ensure legal advice aligns with Seriti's commercial objectives, legal strategy and governance requirements
    • Provide legal support to the Procurement Team on the procurement of goods and services
    • Draft, review, negotiate and interpret commercial agreements and contractual documentation
    • Advise on contractual obligations, risk allocation and dispute avoidance mechanisms
    • Develop and maintain standard contract templates and legal documentation to support business requirements
    • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulatory requirements, Seriti standards and governance frameworks

    Requirements:

    • Working knowledge of relevant South African legislation in respect of mineral regulation

    Mining Operator OC, B3, NVC065/26GS - Fixed Term Contract

    The role:

    • A mining operator at a coal mine plays a crucial role in supporting the overall mining operations and ensuring the efficient extraction of coal. Working under the supervision of experienced miners and engineers, the mining assistant carries out various tasks to contribute to the smooth functioning of the mine.

    Responsibilities will include but not limited to:

    • Operate small or large Mining Machinery
    • Assist in maintaining good housekeeping standards in Mining area
    • Working at heights & in confined spaces

    Requirements:
