    IT Contract Specialist

    IT Contract Specialist (Contract Position- 12 Months)

    Exciting opportunity exist for a suitably qualified and skilled individual to join the Information Technology Division at Corporate Office.

    Key Performance Outputs

    The successful candidates, reporting to the Manager Information Technology will be responsible for the following:

    • Contract Management as it relates to drafting IT contracts, reviewing the contracts drafted by the IT team, attending to contract negotiations with the service providers and attending to final execution of the contracts;
    • Service Management - serving as the point-of-contact for IT department contractual matters, and also facilitating the contractual process between the IT department and SCM and the Legal Department, ensuring timely review and approval and/or reconciliation of variations;
    • Provide guidance and training on contract matters to IT staff in terms of contracting practices and procedures periodically; and
    • Develop and implement procedures for contract management and administration to ensure compliance with ACSA’s policies and procedure manuals.

    Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) or bachelor’s degree Logistics, Supply Chain Management
    • Minimum of 4 years professional experience;
    • Knowledge of Procurement Principles and Practices;
    • Knowledge of IT Law (IT Contracts) is essential;
    • Knowledge of Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) and Commercial processes and systems;
    • Knowledge of KING IV, PFMA, PPPFA and PAIA;
    • Supplier Relationship Management, Contract Management and Administration – Specifically
    • Procurement contacts;
    • Project Management skills will be an added advantage;
    • SLAs and Contract management; and
    • Risk Management.

    Competencies

    The ideal candidate should be detail orientated, have good planning skills. Incumbent should portray high level of skills in areas of strategy, prioritising, ability to empower people and must be client focused. It is critical that the ideal candidate is ethical, and trustworthy. The successful incumbent must be a team player and negotiation skills and communication skills. Ability to handle challenges including a high level of diplomacy is essential.

    This position will be filled in line with ACSA’s values and Employment Equity Policy and plan. Preference will be given to members of designated groups that are under-represented. The position will also be advertised externally.

    Compliance Specialist

    THIS IS A CONTRACT POSITION FOR 6 MONTHS.

     

    The successful candidate, reporting to the Senior Manager Governance will be responsible for the following:

    • Provide input and implement compliance framework and methodology to ensure achievement of business objectives in a cost effective manner and within the regulatory and legislative framework.
    • Monitor compliance as per compliance risk management plans.
    • Design and build compliance programs to minimise instances of non-compliance.
    • Ensure compliance with Delegated Levels of Authority (DLA) according to ACSA framework.
    • Monitor compliance to legislation, rules, codes, standards, policies and procedures within relevant area and report issues of non-compliance to Executive Management and relevant committees.
    • Ensure the promotion and assessment of the current state of compliance at Regional Airports.
    • Develop and implement company compliance profiles.
    • Monitor compliance management system to ensure compliance.
    • Ensure close collaboration of all compliance activities with Risk Management and Internal Audit teams.
    • Report to Management on strategic and operational compliance risks.
    • Provide relevant and specialised technical support / advice to relevant stakeholders with regards to risks imposed to ACSA.

    Technical Skills and Experience

    The following skills and experience or the equivalent of such, will be required:

    • The successful candidate must have a valid Matric (Grade 12) qualification.
    • A relevant bachelor’s degree.
    • CIMA membership is essential.
    • IRMSA membership is recommended.
    • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office package.
    • The candidate must possess minimum 6-8 years’ compliance related experience supported by an in-depth knowledge of compliance with legislative requirements, compliance systems and processes.
    • Knowledge of the ACSA compliance framework will be an advantage.

    Competencies

    This position calls for an individual who is an achiever who consistently achieves results and meets goals and targets. This role requires someone with excellent communication skills, who can clearly explain a point of view and its reasoning in both one-on-one and large audience situations. The successful candidate must be able to recognize, handle and resolve conflict promptly. In addition, the successful candidate must act in an ethical manner which is in line with the dominate values of the organization. The ideal candidate must be able to put useful and meaningful measures in place to monitor work processes, set definite milestones and actions for achieving goals.
