    Brand Strategist

    Responsibilities and Expectation

    • Sustain a track record and commitment to developing global/regional creative strategies that achieve brand objectives and deliver measurable results.
    • Perform and present monthly Brand strategic reviews to ensure consistent learning and optimisation of all content initiatives
    • Lead and own relationships with agency / client partners
    • Stay-up-to-date on project, platform and product developments
    • Mine insights to understand how best to communicate with our target audience Twitter by ensuring that data and customer insights drive content decisions and standards
    • Build strong relationships with account executives, sales leads and managers at Ad Dynamo
    • Keep up-to-date with client audience’s preferences and proactively suggest new campaigns
    • Sharp business acumen and professional maturity. Self-starter that has a relentless passion for knowing more and doing their best work, balanced with a deep respect for the skills that others bring to the table.
    • Creative energy and drive to think outside of the box. Leads ideation and brainstorming sessions internally and externally that extract fresh thinking from attendees and results in actionable next steps.
    • A strong communicator. You don't compile slides - you know the client's challenge and develop a narrative that makes them feel heard, delivers against their objectives, and illuminates Twitter's creative potential and measurable value.
    • Resourceful. You truly enjoy every aspect of the process and can drive all elements in a project from end to end.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years experience in a marketing or advertising agency, media company or publisher with a digital focus, or related experience; social and mobile experience a strong plus
    • Deep knowledge of Twitter
    • Experience leading and managing clients, accounts with a high degree of accountability and stakeholder management
    • Experience in building creative digital media programs at scale that drive brand awareness and high user engagement
    • Deep working knowledge of Keynote, Crimson Hexagon and Google Sheets
    • Desire to stay current on new digital advertising technologies and other platform-related ecosystem partners and their capabilities
    • Ability to handle and prioritise multiple projects and to adjust to inevitable changes in timelines, deadlines, and project goals
    • Strong communication skills

    Spotify Sales Account Executive

    This role comprises the following responsibilities:

    • Represent Spotify at the same standard that they do in markets such as the UK or US
    • Drive new and grow existing account revenues
    • Achieve quarterly sales targets
    • Provide day-to-day support to allocated customers
    • Manage brand direct and agency relationships
    • Reporting on campaign performance
    • Activate new customers through strategic selling
    • Ensure customers are educated and informed of all new Spotify product offerings
    • Fulfill all role functionalities associated with operations and sales

    A typical day consists of:

    • Educating brands & agencies on Spotify's offering
    • Preparing and presenting proposals (ad sales)
    • Managing communications with agency & brand & ensuring ad performance is optimal
    • Liaising with our Account Management and Brand Strategy teams for day-to-day support

     

    Requirements

    Required skills:

    • Radio sales experience (minimum 5 years)
    • Digital marketing experience
    • Knowledge of digital advertising products an advantage
    • Knowledge of programmatic advertising an advantage
    • Knowledge of South African agency landscape would be an advantage
    • Excellent presentation skills - spoken and written
    • Good numerical skills - create Keynote proposals and insertion orders independently
    • Ambitious, tenacious and positive can-do attitude
    • Attention to detail
