The Purpose of the role

The role will focus on the strategic management and control of pump, cyclone, and valve inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels for sales and production while working with the respective stakeholders. Ensuring all reports are managed and maintained with a high degree of stock control in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Key Accountabilities

• Develops and maintains inputs to the inventory system, including network changes, lead times, cost, and delivery expectations.
• Coordinates with traffic, production planning, and warehouse personnel to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling, and storing of goods.
• Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities.
• Coordinating stock control operations with warehouse staff, as well as the sales and finance departments
• Overseeing stock storage processes, including tagging, boxing, and labeling
• Carry out inventory-related investigations and queries needing resolution and drive the required actions.
• Ensure that physical stock and stock on hand align in terms of product, location, and quantity measure obsolete stock as well slow-moving stock.
• Report on cycle count results and ensure that any discrepancies are resolved timeously.
• Ensure stock take preparations are carried out correctly prior to all stock takes and ensure that the respective inventory records are in place and managed.
• Ensure inventory holding policies, procedures, and processes are documented and trained out.
• Effective control of FIFO principles and practices
• Audit inventory management process compliance for the facility.
• Review and audit inventory master data accuracy.
• Report and escalate slow-moving stock and ensure action (sell/scrap) is taken by relevant stakeholders.
• Spend time in warehouses to coach on the topic, physically review and validate, housekeeping and 5S implementation and compliance where needed, and recommend improved processes/management action.
• Ensure compliance with external audit requirements (e.g. ISO 14001, 45001)
• Coordinate and close annual stock audits with external parties.

What you bring

• Matric
• Tertiary related qualification, Diploma/ Degree in Business Administration, Supply chain Management
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in inventory control.
• Computer literate in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and MS Projects.

Your responsibilities

• The Process Controller is responsible for the cleanliness of the Robotic area and the equipment
• Register new vessels on the SCADA
• Process Controller is responsible to ensure that all samples received from Clients are logged.
• Ensures that samples are prepared automatically by the equipment
• Ensures that equipment is placed in manual and auto mode as the need arises.
• Ensures that samples are prepared and analyzed within the time constraints of each product. Ensures that analyses are reported on time.
• Ensures all checks are done, i.e., balance verifications, crusher verifications, test sieve verifications and daily equipment checklists
• Ensures all data are sent trough to LIMS and captured correctly (KPI)
• Required to interpret the results and make decisions accordingly. Ensures that accurate analyses are conducted in accordance with written procedures on samples received from Clients. Ensure that customer requirements are adhered to. Specific skills are needed to interpret the functioning of the instruments and the analyses of samples in terms of accuracy
• Process Controller is responsible to communicate with customers/Technician via phone, e-mail, or intercom on related issues.
• Responsible to log incidents regarding re-works and verification samples.
• Process Controller ensures that results of QC and CRM samples are available on LIMS.
