    Senior QC Inspector (JHB)

    Description

    • Align inspection processes with the organisation's strategic compliance objectives, designing comprehensive and risk-based inspections solutions from a holistic perspective;
    • Monitor and track projects using the company's project management tools, ensuring timely completion, accurate reporting, and continuous improvement in compliance practices;
    • Lead complex compliance inspections and regulatory assessments with minimal oversight from the Manager, ensuring adherence to industry standards and organizational policies;
    • Perform quality control inspections and investigations, in line with the Quality Assurance System;
    • Identify and record any concerns or findings, and the evidence necessary to substantiate such issues;
    • Ensure the corrective action plan provided by the auditee is acceptable;
    • Ensure the provided Root Cause analysis addresses the findings thoroughly;
    • Identify and recommend solutions to risks or findings through designated reporting channels;
    • Verify the implementation of solutions within specific timelines;
    • Ensure effective implementation of the corrective action plan within specific timelines;
    • Ensure that the IQSMS Quality Module is maintained;
    • Liaise and accompany the SACAA and 3rd Party Auditors during inspections (AOC, AMO, ATO, etc.);
    • Guide, mentor, and review the work of Inspectors providing constructive feedback and delegating tasks effectively;
    • Encourage, promote, and embody a spirit of teamwork;
    • Assess and optimise the performance of direct reports;
    • Guide, support and develop direct reports;
    • Compile weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on AMO and QC activities in the organisation;
    • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports to the manager, ensuring they cover compliance functions and team performance;
    • Collaborate and build long-term relationships with key stakeholders (Internal and External);
    • Manage internal and external stakeholders with all matters relating to safety.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or Equivalent (Essential);
    • Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License (Current/Expired) (Essential);
    • Lead Auditors Certification (including Root Cause Analysis Training) (Essential);
    • Quality Management Degree/Diploma which includes Auditing (Essential);
    • Safety Management Systems training (Essential);
    • Project Management or Total Quality Management (Essential);
    • Aviation related courses (SMS, Aviation Security, CATS & CARS, and Human Factors etc.) (Essential);
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook);
    • Accident and Incident Investigation (Essential);
    • Minimum of 7 years' Airline/Aviation experience, of which 2 years' must have been Supervisory experience (Essential);
    • Experience as a Lead Auditor (Essential);
    • Experience in Incident Investigation (Advantageous);
    • Experience in Accident Investigation (Advantageous);
    • Must be willing to travel;
    • Be available after working hours, as and when required;
    • Must be willing to work shifts;
    • Familiarity with the applicable regulatory bodies and their requirements i.e. AOC, ATO and AMO approvals;
    • Knowledge of IOSA ISARPS Knowledge of quality systems and understanding of how QMS principles and practices apply to aviation standards;
    • Internal audit processes and techniques;
    • Understand SMS principles Understand document control processes Extensive knowledge of SACAA, ICAO, EASA, IOSA and other foreign approvals.
