    SVP Visual Inspector

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Manual inspection of ampoules and vials for particulates, leaks and other defects as per SOP
    • Maintenance of high standards of cleanliness in the department and strict adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and good housekeeping
    • Batch documentation completion
    • Completion of reject recording documents.
    • Responsible for clean workplace environment including the equipment.
    • Train identified personnel on all related items relevant to operation
    • Ensure daily targets are met
    • Comply with all GMP & GDoP practices.
    • Support packaging operations when required.
    • From time to time carry out other jobs within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification and training of the incumbent.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum Grade 12, Matric
    • Annual renewed, valid Visual Inspector Qualification is mandatory for this role
    • Good eyesight is a pre-requisite.  (Pass the medical eye test)

    Filling Operator

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Responsible for the cleaning of the filling room and general area, according to procedure.
    • Responsible for component availability to ensure operations.
    • Responsible for pre-filling sanitization of area and equipment, according to procedure.
    • Perform shift handover to discuss batch or machine specific maters with operator from previous and following shift on line.
    • Perform setup of machine for particular product and format.
    • Perform change overs to different types of products and formats
    • Perform environmental sampling as required
    • Examine machinery at the beginning of each shift to ensure it is in good working order.
    • Verify machine consumables meet specific batch requirements and are acceptable to run through machine. Immediately report any anomalies noticed to shift leader.
    • Operate machine and make required adjustments to meet quality requirements.
    • Continuously monitor operation and perform in-process checks on produced units; adjust if required.
    • Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedure rules and regulations relevant to the process activity.
    • Carry out any necessary documentation as per the Standard Operating Procedure (process records, etc.).
    • Problem solving by performing root cause analysis for normal/operational machine malfunctions and correct.
    • Immediately report and engage with technician on advanced mechanical, electrical or automation failures. Participate in correction.
    • Perform basic reactive and scheduled maintenance on equipment and participate in monthly and annual maintenance shut downs. Identify and correct shortcomings in preventative maintenance program resulting in unexpected failures through engagement with technicians and other maintenance personnel.
    • Train identified personnel on all related items relevant to operation and maintenance of the equipment.
    • Ensure daily target is met
    • From time to time carry out other jobs within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification and training of the incumbent.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Minimum Grade 12.
    • Computer Literate.
    • N2 with certification
    • Gowning competence
    • 2-3 years in a production environment

    Grade B Operator

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Carry out any necessary documentation as per the Standard Operating Procedure (process records, etc.).
    • Immediately report and engage with technician on advanced mechanical, electrical or automation failures. Participate in correction.
    • Train identified personnel on all related items relevant to operation and maintenance of the equipment.
    • Ensure daily target is met

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Technical qualification preferred/beneficial.

    • 2-3 years in a production environment, preferably Pharmaceutical / FMCG.

    SVP Production Leader

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Ensure the department meets its daily production and performance targets by motivating goal achievement
    • Ensure process continuity from component preparation through to packing
    • Identify and address daily production problems through problem solving and corrective actions
    • Ensure production plan is optimally planned to ensure efficiency.
    • Consult the Department Manager with regards to operational activities to ensure cost effective operations.

    Maintain and promote efficiency and productivity of subordinates through principles of good supervision to include:

    • Responsible for tracking, monitoring, and reporting team KPIs (output, downtime, lost time etc.)
    • Take corrective actions
    • Carry out short interval production control checks
    • Ensure all quality parameters and protocol are adhered to, to ensure product of highest quality
    • Enforce cGMP compliance within the production area.
    • Ensure risk-based decision are to be made together with a multi-disciplinary team. (Production, Technical and Quality)
    • Ensure detailed Shift Handovers to ensure continuity from one shift to another.
    • Allocate work to subordinates and supervise subordinates in order to ensure all activities in the department are correctly and efficiently undertaken.
    • Exercise “first line” management control regarding staff disciplinary matters
    • Ensure that all shifts are adequately staffed in order to ensure operational continuity
    • Manage absenteeism (through the “wellness” program) and time keeping
    • Coaching of team members with the aim to improve plant performance
    • Ensure all departmental documentation are completed in real time
    • Deal with disciplinary in accordance with company code of conduct and policies where required
    • Ensure full compliance of SOP’s, factory rules, regulations and GMP and GRK practices always
    • Continually strive for improved shop floor communications through regular meetings
    • Assist in writing and reviewing relevant SOP’S where required
    • Enforce participation in investigations and root cause analysis through Kabitrack
    • Assess training requirements of operators and complete necessary training to ensure staff operates at highest possible level
    • Facilitate and execute training of operators on departmental procedures
    • When required carry out other jobs within the department / factory, which are consistent with the grade, qualification and training of the incumbent.

    Requirements

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12 with Maths and Science
    • Production Management Diploma or other relevant tertiary qualification eg. Technical qualification would be advantageous
    • 3-5 years in manufacturing environment. Ideally 2 years in a leadership position.
    • Exemplary work performance record
    • Proven leadership ability
