Job Description

Requirement for Venture Analyst Fellows

Providing excellent hands-on support to our portfolio in designing sound business strategy driven by analytical reports generated from the business, consumer, and market data of our portfolio companies.

1. Applying business strategy frameworks in designing sound business strategy roadmaps for our portfolio companies

2. Analyzing macro and socio-economic factors per country across emerging markets and preparing reports showing how they would affect the our companies

3. Evaluating target markets of portfolio companies and preparing Market research & development reports

4. Join design thinking sessions with portfolio founders

5. Collect and store data on portfolio company performance, market research, and consumer behavior across the growth engine of the company

6. Process and present the data of portfolio companies in Visual reports to the Venture Associate team

7. Identify trends and patterns in the reports to be applied during strategy design meetings per portfolio company

• Have an awareness of recent investment deals and news in ventures and the startup industry.

• Hands-on experience with market research and industry analysis.

• Knowledge of startup and VC finance and investment operations.

Qualifications

1. The fellowship program is for aspiring financial analysts and professionals who wish to advance their knowledge and experience in Business and Investment analysis.

2. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, curious, proactive and asks questions - both of management and of themselves – and seeks to understand the context of their role in the wider organisation.

3. Willingness to be available, committed, to learn, relearn and unlearn on the job

4. Ability to use or learn to use remote work tools such as Trello, Google Workspace tools, and so on

5. Must be able to properly write basic documentations

6. Must be ready to work in a fast-paced environment and to collaborate with relevant stakeholders to roll out great products

7. Demonstrated ability to work in a self-directed manner rather than being asked to look at specific problem areas.

8. Power-user in MS Excel, Google Sheets and presentation tools

9. Have effective oral/written communication skills and presentation skills

10. Studying or desire to study CIMA, ACCA certification preferred
