    Principal Process Engineer

    The tasks you'll perform

    • Ensure that Process Engineering activities are conducted to the highest quality, ethical and in line with Company, Client and regulatory requirement.
    • Establish design standards in areas of expertise for the process team.
    • Coordinate the resources necessary to ensure that studies are completed on time, on budget and to the appropriate standard.
    • Work collaboratively with personnel across all business units.
    • Ensure overall process deliverables are achieved to a consistently high standard. Respond immediately to change to ensure projects are completed on time in accordance with the contractual scope of work and services.
    • Utilise project reporting requirements in accordance with Company and Client standards to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
    • Responsible and accountable for all Process design functions carried out on designated Projects, whether handled personally or delegated to subordinate staff members.
    • Deliver best practice process designs in accordance with project time, budget and technical requirements.
    • Prepare and review study documents adhering to Company policies and procedures to a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
    • Analyse data and its relationship to the process design.
    • Manage the process components of scoping, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies to ensure they are correct and thorough, appropriate to the study phase.
    • Carry out peer reviews of particular designs.
    • Actively solicit new business and assist with established client maintenance.
    • Suggest methods to improve operational efficiency within the Process Engineering team.
    • Work in conjunction with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet project design work criteria and deliverables.
    • Develop and contribute to the delivery of improvement initiatives which support business priorities for continuous improvement.
    • Contribute to engineers in training professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.
    • Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.
    • Ensure a high level of communication is attained within the Process Engineering group.
    • Provide leadership, guidance and direction to the Process Engineering group as required.
    • Travel on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and its operations.

    The expertise you'll bring:

    • University degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
    • A minimum of 15+ years of experience in mineral processing and/or related industries and post graduate experience.
    • Mix of process plant operations and project development roles, within mining companies, and contract engineering organisations.
    • South African Citizen or Permanent Resident
    • Cape Town based

    Senior Project Manager

    The tasks you'll perform

    • Manage the timeliness and accuracy of the project controls (reporting, costs, schedule, trends, change management) in terms of both direct and indirect costs in accordance with Company, Client and project requirements.
    • Develop and maintain the various project specific procedures, work practices, plans, systems and protocols to enable the project team to work efficiently and maintain a consistent approach and high standard of work.
    • Drive the projects under your control to achieve contractual KPI’s and exceed Client expectation.
    • Ensure commercial compliance to Company, Client, and statutory requirements.
    • Implement and coordinate auditing of policies, procedures, standards and plans applicable to the Group in order to improve the quality and professionalism of services.
    • Ensure safety, environmental, community and industrial relations and quality procedures and plans adhered to on all sites.
    • Drive business development activities through engaging and maintaining Client relationships and key prospect development.
    • Work in conjunction with a range of internal and external stakeholders to meet project design criteria and deliverables.
    • Contribute to engineers in trainings professional development by providing consistent mentoring and identify avenues of development.
    • Suggest methods to improve operational efficiency.
    • Develop and contribute to the delivery of improvement initiatives which support business priorities for continuous improvement.
    • Proactively support other team members as required to ensure Project deliverables are met.
    • Undertake regular site visits to review progress, methods, cost controls, safety, quality, environmental, risks, changes and claims, etc.
    • Travel on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and its operations.

    The expertise you'll bring

    • University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil, Electrical or equivalent.
    • A minimum of 10-15 years of experience in mineral processing and/or related industries.
    • A minimum of 5years of experience in Project Management, preferably leading large-scale mining projects.
    • Experience in progressively responsible positions within mining or heavy industrial capacity.
    • End to end project delivery experience, in both greenfield and brownfield projects.
    • A strong track record of delivering projects on time, within scope, and under budget.
    • Understanding of open-pit or underground mining methods.
    • Proficiency in using or reviewing tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project.
    • Strong Financial acumen: CAPEC/OPEX planning, cost tracking, cash flow forecasting.
    • Coordinate long lead items, construction timelines, and resource management.
    • Familiarity with mineral processing, exploration and geotechnical engineering.
    • Experience managing full project life cycles; feasibility, FEED, detailed engineering design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover.
    • Knowledge of EPC/EPCM contract and delivery methods.
    • Experience working with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

    Contracts Administrator (Junior QS)

    The tasks you'll perform

    • Assisting in the preparation, and management of contracts and contractual documents.
    • Sound knowledge and practical experience with NEC and FIDIC standard forms of contracts. 
    • Assist in the preparation of accurate cost estimates, budgets, for construction projects 
    • Ensuring compliance with contract terms and conditions 
    • Maintaining accurate and organized contract records and documentation 
    • Preparing and issuing progress reports and payment certificates. 
    • Assisting in handling contract variations, extensions, and claims. 
    • Assisting in the valuation of completed work for interim and final payments. 
    • Supports the preparation of tender documentation, adjudication processes, and bid evaluations. 
    • Reviewing and validating contractor and subcontractor invoices and claims. 
    • Ensures all contractual and commercial activities are conducted ethically and in ine with company values and industry best practices.  
    • Assists in the development and implementation of procedures and standards related to contract administration and commercial management. 

    The expertise you'll bring

    • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying (minimum) or related. 
    • 3-5 years proven contracts administration experience in construction/mining. 
    • South African Citizen or Permanent Resident.
    • Cape Town based.
    • Knowledge of NEC and FIDIC contract forms. 
    • Preparation and management of contracts, budgets, cost estimates, and payment certificates.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint). 
    • Ability to manage contract documentation, including variations, site instructions, and claims. 
    • Understanding of tendering and contract law practices.
    • Experience validating invoices and handling contract claims and extensions.
