    Quality Assurance | Learner

    Job Description

    Major accountabilities:

    • Support with temperature logger downloads and assessments for batch release.
    • Preparation of batch release support documents.
    • Creation and updating of master release documents and maintenance of trackers.
    • Support in complaints and change control management.
    • Customs clearance and follow-ups.
    • Gathering and capturing quality information to support business and quality reports and quality projects.
    • Managing projects.
    • Trouble shooting and incident management.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Education:

    • Science degree Basic Pharmacy Assistant or Post Basic Pharmacy Assistant qualification or experience in Quality will be an advantage

    Skills:

    • Time management and communication skills, cross-functional collaboration, networking and building relationships.
    • Project management, including budget.
    • Understanding supply of pharmaceutical products and the part QA plays
    • Understanding compliance related topics such as GMP, GDP and Ethical principles and the importance for medicines and quality.

    Country Value & Access Head

    Job Description Summary

    • Country Value & Access Head is a key strategic leadership role mandated to establish and build relationships with key influencers and decision makers (private and public) in order to facilitate bringing new therapies to market consistently and efficiently.
    • Critical to success in the role will be to ensure that Novartis is able to provide the depth of necessary information and evidence to key decision makers in terms of health outcomes and tailored studies that demonstrate value and compliment the cost containment goals of the government while driving innovation.
    • He/she will work in conjunction with field access teams to establish partnerships and create innovative product listing agreements that provide triple win outcomes. This will require new approaches and a clear strategy to operate effectively in a tightening and highly competitive market.
    • This role will need to be diligent in focusing on cross functional alignment and collaboration while ensuring focus on priority assets in key markets to ensure the highest possible rate of success and return as measured by fast patient access while meeting overall revenue objectives.

    Job Description

    Major accountabilities:

    • Manage and develop the overall performance of the Value & Access units within country.
    • Responsible for preparation and processing of regulatory and HTA submissions.
    • Anticipate Market Access requirements and adopt commercial strategy for pipeline and existing products, working closely with other functional business leaders including medical, regulatory, digital, marketing and sales.
    • Ensure effective and productive collaboration and exchange between the Pricing, Medical Listing and Health Economic functions to ensure evidence supports local value proposition.
    • Drive all market access contracting negotiations and outreach programs for the product portfolio, as well as non-product-centered conversations focusing on broader business issues including health care system strengthening, processes and structure, where appropriate.
    • Build and maintain solid relationships to key external regional payor stakeholders as well as patients and policy makers and take active role in health care system strengthening initiatives (where applicable).

    • Coordinate the legal protection of Novartis licenses, contracts, products, and relationships with host government/s, in collaboration with legal affairs team.
    • Monitor the political, regulatory and legal environments, and provide advice on its impact and seize new opportunities for Novartis business.
    • Shapes the local Health Care System by treating it as an interconnected whole rather than a collection of parts.
    • Closely collaborates with local BE&E and associates to analyse data to create clarity for payers and find insights that enable value creation and sustained patient access.

    Minimum Requirements:

    Education:

    • Postgraduate degree in sciences, business administration, health policy, health economic or other relevant qualification
    • Desirable: MBA or equivalent.

    Experience:

    • At least 10 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical Industry with at least 5 years’ experience value & access and Senior Leadership Role with track record of cross-cultural/country teams, achieving goals and under-standing the business.
    • Strong external relationships with access stakeholders in South Africa
    • Advanced knowledge of pricing and reimbursement environment in the country
