    Temporary Packaging Analyst

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

    • Perform quality checks on samples in accordance with required procedures as per sampling plans.
    • Conduct analyses of results and identify problems and improvement opportunities and communicate these to relevant stakeholders.
    • Training of packaging personnel on process control procedures. 
    • Report and manage non-conforming dry goods and filled product. 
    • Maintain the Quality Management System standards.
    • Maintain measuring and testing equipment (calibration, verification and maintenance).
    • Conduct audits to confirm adherence to ISO 9001 and procedures. 
    • Perform administrative duties.
    • Initiate, investigate and assist in problem solving regarding packaging materials and processes.

    • The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
    • A recognised and relevant Degree / Diploma in Natural Sciences or in the final stages of completing the qualification.
    • Relevant working experience in a manufacturing environment (working experience on beverage lines will be advantageous).
    • Working knowledge of Health and Safety standards, ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001 and SANS 1841 will be advantageous.

    Logistics Manager Tzaneen

    Role Purpose

    Inventory Controller

    Purpose of the Position:

    • The effective management of inventory received, stored and despatched to ensure OTIF delivery of quality products and achievement of financial imperatives. Act as the custodian of the Warehouse Management System at site level (Super User).

    Artisan

    Channel Activation Manager: On Premise

    Purpose of the Position

    • The Channel Activation Manager is fully responsible for the management of execution pertaining to the Modern On Premise channel, from promotional activities to key initiatives in line with Evergreen, AP and SP strategy and objectives.
    • Supports in the design, analysis and identifying of Modern On Premise channel strategy and the subsequent achievement of volume and profit objectives.
    • Supports in developing and deployment of PICOS and implementing channel segmentation and prioritisation, select key shopper drivers in priority segments, select winning strategies and produce an action plan to realize these strategies for Modern On Premise.
    • Work closely with key stakeholders (i.e. brand marketing, finance, supply chain, procurement, regional trade marketing and field sales teams) to ensure execution excellence according to brand & channel plans developed. Supports in developing Integrated Commercial Plan and Annual Plan.

    KEY RESULT AREAS

    • Co Define and develop Channel activation strategies that drive brand visibility and consumer engagement and conversion in Modern On Premise, three year view to Channel strategy
    • Working with sales teams to identify target accounts and develop plans to grow the accounts
    • Clear understanding of the Modern On Premise Consumer in order to deliver wining On Premise Strategy by leveraging consumer insights
    • Continuously evolve to market dynamics and co-develop tactical plans to defend and win volume to achieve company targets.
    • Conduct Market Research to identify trends, opportunities and competitive landscape
    • Identifying opportunities from Consumer insights and prioritizing opportunities that will deliver biggest business impact
    • Work with Sales teams to deliver PICOS execution in market aligned to channel strategy and KPI’s

    • Set Excellent Outlet Execution guidelines according to PICOS consumer drivers (availability, affordability and visibility) for Modern On Premise, with support and alignment from brand teams on annual basis and occasionally based on consumer & market needs/dynamics. 12 Month Calendar including clear commercial job to be done and KPI’s for output of plan.
    • Develop experiential consumer activation execution resonate with target consumers that encourage trial and conversion in conjunction with Brand teams and key stakeholders, emphasis on quality in every consumer touch point
    • Implement clear draft strategy that delivers superior consumer experience
    • Create premium disruptive POSM material for Modern On Premise in conjunction with Brand teams and key stakeholders, focus on delivery best in class quality in every consumer touchpoint
    • Ensure delivery of excellence in execution in line with Modern On Premise strategy
    • Track and analyze the effectiveness of activation initiatives providing reports and recommendations for future activity programs.
    • Evaluate and re-apply learnings post campaign to drive execution efficiency and ROI improvement. Full measurement and evaluation of activity driving channel profitability
    • Manage budgets for activation programs ensuring cost effective execution while maximizing impact
    • Valuable time spent in trade to understand channel dynamics, shopper behavior, activity execution barriers and opportunities. 60% time to be spent in trade. 50% time spent in trade.
    • Follow Heineken Beverages policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • A degree/diploma in Marketing, Economics, Business or equivalent.

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

    • Minimum 6+ years of channel marketing / brand management / sales operations working experience.
    • Minimum of 3 years managerial experience.
    • Knowledge of trade terms within an FMCG environment will be advantageous.
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills.

    Legal Counsel

    Purpose:

    • To ensure that the company operates within the law at all times, offer counsel on legal issues, be a strategic partner for the organization and drive responsible business conduct.

    Key responsibilities:

    Legal Advisory 

    • Provide expert and strategic legal advice to management.
    • Set internal governance policies and manage the impact of external factors.
    • Assist with ensuring compliance with relevant policies, including Competition Law and Dawn Raid Guidelines, Code of Conduct, Conflict of Interest, Anti-Bribery, Gifts & Entertainment and Ethics & Whistleblowing
    • Create associations of trust and respect with key stakeholders.
    • Deal with external parties to the extent necessary at the time (regulators, external counsel, politicians and clients).
    • Draft agreements that minimize risks and maximize legal rights.
    • Keep abreast of legislative changes.
    • Handle all potentially litigious matters in a commercially viable manner and ensures where possible that recourse to courts is a last resort.
    • Support the commercial portfolios (sales, marketing and procurement) primarily through the Legal Manager and Legal Counsel: IP and Marketing

    Intellectual Property & Marketing 

    • Manage and protect the company’s intellectual property, such as trademarks, logos, brands.
    • Advise on activities of competitors and all other parties involved in the business of passing off of company products or infringing on company’s intellectual property.
    • Advise on marketing and brand campaigns, sponsorships and promotional activities. Draft, review and negotiate marketing-related agreements and ensure adherence to competition law, advertising standards, and consumer protection regulations and the associated environmental law considerations.

    Case Management 

    • Assist with products complaints received from consumers; appropriately to such complaints.
    • Maintains and regularly updates a record of all cases involving the company. 
    • Ensures that competent external lawyers are appointed to represent the company in litigation matters.
    • Assist external lawyers in researching and preparing the company’s cases either as plaintiffs or defendants and vets all papers/documents to be filed by the lawyers on behalf of the company.
    • Engage with the company’s external contacts, other lawyers, other persons and government officials with a view to resolving legal and general corporate and regulatory matters.

    Supply Chain:

    • Implement and champion the use of Ironclad (CLM) for standardised templates to minimize risk and ensure consistency.
    • Support with drafting, review, and negotiation of agreements, tenders, procurement contracts, and service-level agreements.
    • Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to integrate legal considerations into operational decisions.

    Sales:

    • Implement and champion the use of Ironclad (CLM) for standardised templates for trade terms, distribution contracts and promotional arrangements to minimize risk and ensure consistency.
    • Monitor and mitigate risk related to anti-competitive practices and support with creating awareness and ensure adherence to competition law policies.
    • Provide legal input on commercial initiatives and trade programs.

     Ad-hoc Legal matters 

    • Assist the International team on various legal matters.
    • Manage and co-ordinate ad-hoc legal projects.
    • Dealing with the various regulatory bodies on behalf of the Company, and filing the statutory periodic returns with such bodies (where needed). 
    • Assist with implementation and development of legal tech solutions.

    Education, Competencies & Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in law (LLB)
    • Desired – completed articles at a reputable law firm. 
    • Min 3 years of experience in a legal field.
