    Architect (OT)

    The role is accountable for developing Architecture within Digital Technology (DT) across the Information Technology (OT) domain. The purpose of this role is the selection of new technologies and the effective design of platforms to achieve the required business value via sound architecture principles. Responsible for developing common architecture consisting of information, data, application and technology architecture layers for effectively and efficiently realising enterprise and OT strategies by creating key models and practices that describe the baseline and target architectures.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in IT / OT related fields
       

    Experience:

    • 8+ years in a corporate IT / OT environment, in senior leadership roles
    • 8+ years' experience in IT /OT technology architecture
    • Experience in a related technical field (application development, deployment/implementation, and infrastructure)
       

    Certificates:

    Certifications preferred but not required

    • TOGAF or equivalent Architecture qualification
    • MDP / MBA or equivalent management qualification

    • Full technology solutions architecture lifecycle, including requirements-gathering, vendor selection, design, costing, and non-functional optionality

    Senior Specialist: Tailings

    ROLE PURPOSE

    • Incumbent will work closely with the Tailings Facility design consultants and in-house construction team to ensure that the ongoing construction of the Tailings Storage Facility (TSF) at operations meet world class quality standards. He/she will also work closely with AGA Principal Tailings Engineer and other key stakeholders to develop the Life of Mine tailings strategy and plan, as well as maintaining best practice tailings deposition and management systems.

     

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Project management to achieve compliance with GISTM and implementation of detailed plans and compilation of documentation, accompanied by schedules and budgeting.
    • Overseeing that required tailings deposition infrastructure, methods and operations as well as embankment design work is completed on time and in line with LOM operational requirements
    • Communicating all design related decisions and outcomes to the Principal Tailings Engineer
    • Understanding overall requirements for timing of construction activities in order to meet operational requirements
    • Compilation of all required reporting including monthly monitoring reports, monthly stewardship documents and annual construction reports
    • Assign work, monitor performance, train and develop team members while creating a culture of high-performance teams.
    • Work with colleagues in the same managerial structure in a way that ensures the manager’s accountabilities are met. This requires a shared understanding of the context within which the manager’s accountabilities lie, and requires of colleagues to work together as a team and make mutual adjustments to their work.
    • Regular monitoring of the performance of any geotechnical structures, observing and reporting on effectiveness of maintenance of all TSF facilities
    • Verifying that operational freeboard (including factors of safety), storm water channels and access routes are properly maintained and reporting to Operations management any remedial actions that are required
       

    QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

    Qualification

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
    • Registered Professional Engineer.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software suite
       

    Experience

    • Minimum of five years geotechnical and tailings experience
    • Track record of finding practical and innovative solutions to tailings disposal
    • Track record of successfully managing and delivering projects on time and within budget
    • Excellent communication skills

    Manager - Geoscience Data & QAQC

    Qualifications and experience

    • A degree qualification in a relevant geology-related or data science discipline
    • Sound understanding of the components and key drivers of the surface and underground mining value chains
    • Experience in identifying and developing exploration and mining ML/AI applications and with the implementation and adoption of applications
    • Ability to take a primary 24 month perspective in managing multiple competing priorities and reconciling these with the Company’s strategic priorities
    • Demonstrated strategic and analytic thinking
    • Demonstrated capacity to make sound short-term tactical recommendations – quickly assembling and interpreting data to successfully provide relevant feedback
    • Understanding of regulatory reporting codes (e.g. SAMREC, JORC and NI43-101)
    • Technical and commercial acumen relevant to the role
    • Literacy in data management principles and quality control systems
    • Demonstrated capability in organising work, setting priorities and exercising sound independent judgement

    Role accountabilities

    • Modelling behaviour that is consistent with the AGA Safety Vision and Values, assisting in driving a culture where Safety is our first value, and providing support for incident/accident investigations where required.
    • Manage the provision of support, governance, analysis and policy for Geological Data management, advanced ML/AI solutions for Geoscience, and QAQC. This includes:
    • Establishing, maintaining and supporting appropriate Policy and Standards with subsequent monitoring and reporting of compliance to those standards.
    • Support the development, improvement and maintenance of designated fit-for-purpose related business systems (eg geological data entry & capture methods, geological logging, ML/AI solutions, sampling analysis and QAQC methods and reporting).
    • Actively monitor Geological data, ML/AI and QAQC tools and techniques to identify opportunities to improve methodologies, identify potential training requirements and facilitate/provide skills transfer and mentoring of Projects and BU personnel.
    • Provide expert Geological data, ML/AI and QAQC advice and input to the Business Units and other functions.
    • Coordinate data science and technology projects between AGA groups and sites globally. Ensure that solutions undergo a satisfactory level of scoping and change management to ensure the successful uptake of projects.
    • Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources, data gathering techniques and and storage and recommend improvements to existing methods
    • Collaborating with programmers, engineers, and organizational leaders to identify opportunities for process improvements, recommend system modifications, and develop guidelines for data governance.
    • Deliver direct technical input, support and expertise to M&A due diligence activities and project stage gate reviews.
    • Establish  and maintain relationships with external providers of discipline related research programs.
    • High level support to the Mineral Resource and Ore Reserves process, including annual compilation and analysis of sampling and QAQC summaries for Mineral Resource Technical Reports.
    • Active involvement with all Projects and Operations and review of mine site and project Geological data, data science and technology projects and QAQC methods and processes to ensure alignment/compliance to AGA standards and policy.
