    Senior Executive Assistant

    • The Senior Executive Assistant provides comprehensive administrative, business, and risk & control support to the SSA Services Head and their team. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient operations by managing key administrative functions, assisting with critical business presentations. The individual will split their time across these core areas to drive efficiency and support strategic objectives.

    What you will do:
    Administrative Support for SSA Services Head & Team (40%)

    • Manage and maintain day-to-day calendar(s) for the SSA Services Head, including scheduling and prioritizing appointments.
    • Coordinate all aspects of executive-level manager appointments, meetings, receptions, and conference calls for the Head and their team.
    • Draft, review, and manage correspondence on behalf of the SSA Services Head.
    • Coordinate travel arrangements; prepare and distribute detailed schedules and agendas for travel for the Head and team members.
    • Prepare, reconcile, and track expense reports accurately and efficiently through the designated expense systems.

    Business Support (25%)

    • Assist with the creation, modification, and finalization of presentations, spreadsheets, and other documents for business reviews and strategic initiatives.
    • Prepare and review materials and correspondence specifically for senior management meetings related to business performance and strategy.
    • Help coordinate logistics and gather data for business reviews, annual planning cycles, and expense management activities.
    • Proactively follow up on action items and trackers stemming from business meetings and strategic initiatives, ensuring timely completion and reporting.

    Risk and Controls Management Support (25%)

    • Assist in promoting a culture of proactive controls and accountability
    • Support the assessment of risk in day-to-day business decisions, with particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding client assets.
    • Assist in driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to company policy.
    • Support the escalation, management, and transparent reporting of control issues.
    • Aid in the monitoring and follow-up of risk-related trackers and remediation efforts.
    • Assist in the preparation of materials for audit support and risk reporting.

    General Administrative Support (10%)

    • Order and manage office supplies; process invoices through the Procure to Pay system.
    • Assist in ad-hoc reports and special projects as needed.

    What we'll need from you:

    • Previous office administration experience, preferably within a large and complex financial services or similar organization.
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Demonstrated understanding of or experience in risk and control environments is highly advantageous.
    • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

    Securities & Custody Analyst

    Job Overview

    What you’ll do

    • Processing transaction settlement processes in Custody Operations unit for Equities, Bonds and Money Market.
    • Liaise with brokers, regulators, and other market participants to ensure all trades settled.
    • Ensure that the client is informed of all open and unmatched trades.
    • Make sure that market obligations are met to avoid market sanctions for default.
    • Reconciliation and monitoring client cash and security account
    • Continuously improve on procedures and process flow for settlement
    • Act as back up for all positions in the unit including Head of Custody operations.
    • Liaise with various departments in the bank to service the client.
    • Work with the Head of Custody operations to streamline processes and to achieve common goals.
    • Supervision of settlement operations within Custody Operations unit
    • Manage daily settlement functions in Custody operations in conjunction with ensuring quality service are delivered to the client. Ensure all control, policies, procedures and reporting requirements are adhered to.
    • Co-ordinate provision of settlement information provided to customers by Custody Operations team in response to clients’ settlement related queries.
    • Provide input to the development of Custody product programmes. Support the business units on all Custody business development projects.
    • Maintain effective personal administration and capacity.
    • Work with the other units that are settlement interfacing to streamline processes and to achieve common goals.
    • Assist Head of Custody operations in providing feedback to business heads and the Senior Country Operations Officer on all risks associated with Custody products/processes, including those associated with changes in the regulatory environment, and ensure that such risks are appropriately documented and addressed by the implementation of effective controls.
    • Participating in process improvement projects and various operations management tasks as delegated.
    • Conduct internal and market testing where required.
    • Manage client queries be responding within agreed turnaround times, in a professional manner and address client education where necessary.

    What we’ll need from you

    • 5 years of Equity, Fixed Income and Money Market experience in the South African custody market.
    • A University Degree is an added advantage
    • Strate Compliance officer is an added advantage.
