Role Description

This organisation is looking for a talented System Analyst to join the software development team. You will be responsible for helping to build out a world-class software platform. You will need to perform root cause analysis and consult with a variety of stakeholders including the CEO, end users and software developers. You must be conscientious and a pragmatic problem-solver with a natural curiosity to learn how things work. A healthy spirit of adventure and sense of humour would be helpful.

Salary

R30,000 – R50,000 per month (Negotiable based on experience)

Responsibilities 

• Take what is often a one-line feature request and build it into a complete requirement that can be handed over to software developers

• Consult with a wide variety of stakeholders from the CEO to end users and software developers

• Ensure timeous quality implementations

• Be a driving force in the system development life cycle and get involved wherever required to achieve the goals and take ownership

• Perform root cause analysis on issues experienced

Requirements 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning 

• Must have a strong concern for order, quality and accuracy

• Must have a meticulous approach to work 

• Ability to work fast and must have self-learning abilities 

• Results oriented and eager to work hard and smart 

• Good written and verbal skills 

• Experience in writing relatively complex SQL database queries 

• A passion for Africa and willingness to work in the developing world context is optional

Role Description

Looking for a new member of the data team to help execute the credit scoring roadmap. You should be able to balance analytical diligence with a willingness to learn and innovate. A healthy spirit of adventure and sense of humour would be helpful. 

Salary

Market related and negotiable based on experience

Responsibilities 

Client limit management

• Maintain scorecard code, testing and reporting

• Assist in the development of scorecards and credit policy proposals 

• Analysis; make recommendations based on test results

Analysis

• Effectively communicate findings on analytical approaches (orally and written)

• Translate business problems into analysis

• Be meticulous about details as well as problem solving aptitude 

• Develop strong SAS and SQL competencies 

General 

• Confidently engage with internal clients 

Requirements 

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Statistics, Mathematics or Engineering 

• Strong numerical and coding abilities 

• Must have a basic understanding of data warehouses and data structures

• Must have a passion for Africa and a willingness to work in a developing world context
