    Control Systems Engineer

    Who you are

    • A specialist with proven track record in planning and executing maintenance & asset management on control systems to ensure optimal system performance
    • Subject matter expert on Operational Technology
    • Strong focus on cyber security and vulnerability management 
    • Driven to seek new business opportunities and grow the business

    What you have done before
    Baseline:

    • NQF level 7 BTech, BEng, BSc in Engineering (Electronic, Control, Computer Systems) or similar IT Qualification 
    • Advantageous experience on Operation Technology and Industrial Process Control Networks
    • Advantageous experience on Honeywell Process Control Network (PCN), Rockwell Automation PCN and ABB Lubecell PCN
    • 5 years’ experience on industrial control systems

    Experience on DCS and FSC Systems

    What will you be doing

    • Leveraging your experience and specialisation to control systems maintenance in EBES:
    • Perform System Maintenance, Configuration, Backup & Troubleshooting on control systems to ensure optimal system performance and vulnerability management
    • Improve control systems reliability and performance
    • Develop and maintain control systems diagrams
    • Develop and maintain asset registers
    • Implement actions from the vulnerability management system
    • Provide input to improve vulnerability mitigation
    • Planning and execution of system patching
    • Ensure all work performed to cyber security standards and as per customer needs
    • Customer engagement and monthly reporting on system health
    • Review and optimise on control systems maintenance strategies to ensure highest quality and within cost limits
    • Participate in OT audits and accountable for planning and completing action items
    • Conduct scoping and provide input into developing customer quotes, long term contracts and SLAs

    Inspection Engineer

    Who You Are:

    • You have previous experience in Inspection or Maintenance.
    • You can analyze inspection data, equipment history and develop trends
    • You can perform  API inspections and issue recommendations
    • You can provide metallurgical advice
    • Have good verbal and written communication skills
    • Have good interpersonal skills and interact with your supervisor and the customer
    • You are reliable and will ensure good performance to maintain our reputation.
    • You have good organization skills.
    • You should have a business mindset and provide input  into making the inspection services profitable

    What you’ll have done before:

    Baseline:

    • (NQF) Level 7 - Degree / Advanced Diploma / B Tech. (Mechanical or Metallurgical) 
    • 5-10 years relevant pressure equipment experience with knowledge of the relevant Code of Construction, quality management system requirements and statutory requirements
    • 5-10 Years relevant in Risk based inspections, Corrosion engineering and Material engineering.
    • Good Knowledge of national and international inspection health and safety standards and practices.

    Advantageous:

    • American Petroleum Institute (API) 510, 570, 653 and 580 accredited and competent
    • NACE certification
    • Previous Experience working for an Inspection Contractor and /or sales experience

    What you’ll be doing

    • Conduct Risk based inspection review for deferrals of equipment 
    • Participate in audits , AIA accreditation 
    • Provide corrosion and metallurgical engineering support to EBES clients
    • Review and approve repair NDT and Inspection reports
    • Conduct Risk Assessments, Root Cause Analysis investigations.
    • Provide design support during HAZOPS , BDOR’s
    • Develop inspection programs for different types of equipment
    • Provide advice integrity , inspection and maintenance activities to  EBES clients.
    • Perform basic design calculations.
    • Conduct PMI assessments and identify existing materials. 
    • Provide guidance on metallurgy selection
    • Evaluate corrosion history and develop RBI programs
    • Identify areas of potential improvement for resource optimization.
    • Adhere to key responsibilities and perform duties as per contractual agreement.
    • Generate Scope of Examination (SOE) for different types of equipment.
    • Drive up sales of EBES Inspection Services by identifying new opportunities and customer gaps
    • Develop and provide input on the scoping of inspection activities and pricing of proposals.
    • Provide guidance on business planning and sales forecasting for the inspection services team.
    • Provide guidance on inspection services business development
    • Perform Fitness for Service assessments (FFS) and issue recommendations from the FFS.
    • Knowledgeable on Safety Standards, legislative and PTS requirements for the inspection and maintenance of all pressurized equipment, piping, pipeline and storage tanks.
