    Occupational Therapist At Nurture Bloubergstrand – Western Cape

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • As the Occupational Therapist, you will focus on hands-on clinical care—assessing each patient’s functional needs, designing evidence-based treatment plans, and guiding them toward greater independence in everyday activities. You will contribute your expertise to an interdisciplinary team committed to person-centred rehabilitation and measurable, high-quality outcomes.

    REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

    • Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy with community-service year completed
    • Registered with the HPCSA as an independent practitioner and covered by malpractice insurance
    • CPD portfolio up to date in line with HPCSA standards
    • Bobath / Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) training an advantage
    • Basic or intermediate wheelchair assessment/prescription skills beneficial
    • FCE training beneficial
    • Driving assessment training beneficial
    • Keen interest in both paediatric and adult neurological rehabilitation
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in neurology, cognitive therapy, and spinal-cord injury care
    • Broad clinical exposure, including orthopaedics, SCI, and neurology
    • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working within an interdisciplinary team
    • Valid driver’s licence and reliable own transport

    • Good written and spoken English language skills (Afrikaans and Xhosa will be advantageous)

    Physiotherapist At Nurture Ilembe – Kwazulu-Natal

    ABOUT THE ROLE

    • Our Therapy Group Practice at Nurture iLembe in Kwazulu-Natal is looking for a Physiotherapist to join their team. Nurture Health provides medical care, and acute and sub-acute rehabilitation treatment for people with a wide range of disabilities caused by disease or injuries. These include spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, neurological disorders, orthopaedic conditions, and other debilitating conditions and illnesses. Our organisation helps people who have become physically or cognitively impaired with the means to lead meaningful lives, regardless of any disability they may have acquired or circumstances they are returning to.

    REQUIREMENTS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS/TRAINING

    • Degree in Physiotherapy
    • Current HPSCA registration and malpractice insurance
    • Up to date CPD status
    • >3 years’ experience in a rehabilitation environment
    • Special interest / expertise within neurology and orthopaedics

    KEY COMPETENCIES

    • Provide physiotherapy interventions to patients referred to the facility.
    • Determine clinical diagnosis and provide physiotherapy treatment plan indicated as an autonomous practitioner.
    • Diagnosis, assessment and management of people with disabling conditions on an in-patient and out-patient basis.
    • Develop appropriate packages of care, giving clinical and professional advice to patients, Carers and other healthcare professionals.
    • Responsible for physiotherapy treatment.
    • To be a source of expertise and advice for support staff.
    • Available to work on a weekend / public holiday on rotation.
